I don't believe that is true. I can think of a different staff that was seemingly away for like 2 years or something and still had their rank when they started becoming active again.

Why does everyone hate him? He was on a lot and he was very nice. Just because you never saw him on forums or in-game doesn't mean he was there ever.

I don't hate him at all, don't make false conclusions. The problem is that moderators should be active on the forums, like stated in the application thread:

• Community driven: Being active on the forums is a must have! Suggesting new content ideas and improvements to our games. Being active on social media and supporting our Twitter account for example, is always a bonus. Being social in general, such as if you are on Discord or TS, we also look at the quality of your posts/threads on the forums, to determine maturity, dedication and other attributes.

If you're never online, you're not a good staff member imo. But hey, I'll probably know nothing about this.

He was barely online, and so I (and likely others) don't know if he was very nice, like you say
