This new rule has created a lot of controversia among the community, and I would like to know what do you guys think about my point of view:

From one hand, I agree with the prohibition, because it is true that 80% of players who can "drag click" are just double clicking, which is unfair.

But on the other hand, we are punishing the legit drag click users due to the inability to know if they are doing it in a legit way, while drag clicking is just a skill, not an autoclicker or a macro. With this new rule, we are just punishing players that had wasted a lot of time practising their drag click and limiting them to certains click methods, which will make them feel angry and stop playing. In addition, the meta will change a lot (talking from my experience in Java's Cubecraft, where putting blocks has a very important role in the matches).

What I would propose is:
1. Add a CPS cap: For example, 25 CPS maximum (you can increase it by 15% because performing an exact amount of clicks is not that easy).
With a CPS cap, maybe you can't do 40 cps drag clicking but you can still putting blocks in a fast way.
2. Improve the anticheat system: Some years ago, the anticheat used to detect autoclickers and double clickers. Enhancing it would prevent double clickers from playing, while allowing legit drag clickers to play without any problems.

What do you guys think about this rule? I'll read your replies😄

Hello! I think that's why the anti-cheat system has stopped penalizing those who possess the drag, double, or butterfly skills. It's become quite popular and most people can do it. It's not that difficult, in my opinion. However, there are many who aren't legitimate.

The cps limit is fine, but it's unlikely that it will prevent cheaters or prevent this skill from being removed from the game. At 15-18 cps, you're already similar to a skill like this and have an advantage in block placement speed, for example. But as I repeat, most people who really like the game learn to do it. So, I don't see any relevance to the controversy or the reason for implementing such a rule, in my subjective opinion.

** In any case, if they opt for this rule, the limit should be 15 cps, in my opinion, since within that range, spam of any type of positioning object (blocks, for example) would remain regulated.

** Furthermore, a rule has just been implemented regarding this.

**and as a last point you could leave the double or butterfly click but not the drag.

Thanks for sharing your opinion! I'm going to answer your message with my point of view:

If the anticheat could detect the difference between dragclicking and double clicking (which have different patterns, since clicks are not made in the same way), this problem can be solved for the most part.
Replying to your last point, butterfly click is fine, but double clicking should be banned, because is not you who are doing that amount of cps, it's an external program that is duplicating it.
That's why I would rather limit this new rule to double clicking, and if it's not possible for the Anticheat to differentiate between drag and double click, create a CPS limit, but a CPS limit that allows players to build to avoid changing the meta, where blocks play a very important role.

I think I liked it better before.
Adding a cps cap of 15 is a really good way to make people who used to do 40 cps take it down a notch, and get rid of the crazy autoclickers. It had its flaws sure, but I don't think PC is much as an advantage anymore. On one hand, that's great, equality and all, but then the people who spent ages learning how to perfectly drag must be pretty annoyed. I agree with your point of maybe making a system that kicks double but not drag, as that would be useful.
Overall this update has its ups and downs, but I think it will benefit more of the playerbase, e.g. Mobile, Xbox, PS5, Switch, and I think that's what they were going for.

pretty good, more for consoles and bedrock devices, and the limit is 15fps or 18cps.

I agree with you, in Bedrock this problem is more important than in Java.
But I think they should make the dragclick ban weaker in Java and let it just in a double click ban.
Thanks for sharing your opinion :)!

i think to quit from cubecraft I regret having spent money on it

Los únicos que se beneficiaron con esta actualización fueron los jugadores de teléfono.
you say a fact

The problem with creating a matchmaking system is the lack of players. Talking about the KB, I don't think it's the server's fault but the players who live far from the host.

You have to configure the internal mouse software or install an external app to do it I think.

My hyperx pulsefire haste 2 and corsair katar pro can double click without lowering its debounce or adjusting mouse settings from their respective firmware, I can say the same for a lot of other mice.

I think the cps cap/drag clicking rule is pretty absurd, they just chose a one size fits all kind of solution to the closet cheater problem (classic cubecraft moment) now it restricts people for employing different playstyles. You can easily distinguish legit drag/double clicking over modified clicking, yet the moderation team and the admins don't look into it, and are stuck to resorting to band-aid solutions.

About other people who can't do these, I say it's a skill issue. I literally don't drag but I frequently beat up people who do like 30 block extensions within a millisecond. You just have to learn how to counter these playstyles and adapt to it. All of this server's imaginary problems with drag clicking and double clicking would be solved by having gamesense.

I completely agree with you except in distinguing drag with a double clicker or auto clicker. It's true that you can see the difference in the 80% of the cases, but not in all of them. It is true that this measure only punishes players who know how this and I found it kinda extreme, but in the following weeks we can start to see who was double clicking and auto clicking in the network before this update, so it's interesting in some way.

I don't see a difference. Yes you can hear the drag sounds, but not if you're an opponent.

We shouldn't have to play against cheaters. Yes you can win sometimes, but it's ridiculous that you can knock them into the void and they survive with autobuild.
