Java [TD] Solutions to "Tower owner didn't choose path"

I think we can all agree that this message is very annoying, especially in a team game where teamwork is the key to succes

I may have come up with a few possible solutions to this problem.

_____1. Tower owner should be obligated to choose a path when placing the tower
_______So basically, when selecting the tower you want to build, you get redirected to the a GUI menu where you
_______also have to choose a path.
_______NOTE: They are not asked to pay straight away, they're just asked to choose a path in advance

_____2. If a teammate upgrades a tower, a random path gets chosen
_______That really does speak for its own!.. Right?

Do you mean as in, they're forced to buy it right away or as in, they select it already and if the owner or a teammate wants to upgrade it it automatically chooses that path?
If it's the last one I perfer this idea. That's pretty neat.

No, they just choose a path but are not asked to pay the upgrade right away
