I read about every single point of your suggestion and I really love it! This makes Lucky Island an even more unique game. Right now LI feels more like skywars with lucky blocks, but by adding new lucky/unlucky blocks and different events (like the bingo card) the game would be more unique and surprising. The more different items/events you can get, the more exciting it is to play!
Yep! That was the main focus of this thread too, to let lucky islands be lucky islands again. Thanks for the feedback!

I don't think the leather boots will be a good idea, because people will be able to run away for an endless amount of time without an effect running out. The same thing applies to the jump boost effect. You can make tall towers fast with jump boost which makes it too good. Maybe this might be a fun idea on the Crazy mode but I don't like the boots.

The position switch is bad for team lucky islands, if you switch with someone from another team with eight players you are dead instantly.

The instant TnT kit is just the TnT wand or the explosive bow so not very special.

And no, the ore vein is not too good, the diamond kit is too good that is why everyone gets so many diamonds. That kit needs to be removed in total.

I like the colour lucky blocks option, there is already a way to change the colour of the lucky blocks but I don't remember how.

The ideas I didn't mention in this answer are ones that I like or there isn't anything wrong with them.

What if it's a solo-only item? I'm pretty sure someone mentioned it before and I gave the same reply, but yeah on solo this sounds like a funny drop.

Speed I isn't super OP imo, but I see where you're coming from. The jump boost would be an experiment to see how OP it would get.

I have no idea lol, I just looked up the rules and found three rules that might apply:
3.4 - No reviving inactive threads without reason. Does not apply to news posts, games, map submissions or introduction threads.

A message will pop up in chat asking you to pick rock, paper or scissors.

I’m not sure if it applies to suggestions or not.

When the lucky block is opened, a message will be displayed in chat, asking you to pick rock, paper or scissors. If you win against the server, you’ll get a reward and a message in the chat saying, “You won!”. The reward could be regeneration II for five seconds. I’m not sure yet about a reward so please help me with this one.
If you tie or lose, you’ll get nothing but a “You tied!” or “You lost!” in the chat.

I’m fine with nothing happening if you tie in this game but there should be an intended consequence if you lose though. Like a negative potion effect or a rare chance to permanently lose a small percentage of your max health, like a heart or a half a heart.

I’m fine with nothing happening if you tie in this game but there should be an intended consequence if you lose though. Like a negative potion effect or a rare chance to permanently lose a small percentage of your max health, like a heart or a half a heart.
That sounds fun! While reading this I thought of a smite as an option too

I'm a big fan of permanently losing some health

Hello there!

Welcome to my Lucky Ideas thread! I’ll be showing you some ideas some friends and I have gathered over the past month. I’ve divided my thread into four parts: Loot, Kits, Achievements and Miscellaneous. In the loot part, I’ll show all my idea that have something to do with the drops of the lucky blocks. The kits part will show the ideas that have something to do with the addition/change of kits. The achievements will have things to do with achievements of the game, these can be for both solo- and team mode. And last up is miscellaneous, here I’ll bring you my ideas outside of the other categories!

Let me know what you think of the ideas! All helpful feedback is welcome!

Loot
New loot

Tracker wand
A wand to track players.

This wand will track players when being right clicked on. You might think that there is a compass, but that’s just a general network item, shared over multiple game, so why don’t they add a special wand that tracks down players with a wand, unique to Lucky Islands? Or why don’t they add a new thing to track down players? There would be more chance to get an item to track players because there are quite a lot of campers on Lucky Islands, hiding inside of their island.

Custom boots

Leather boots that will give you the speed or jump boost effect when equipped.

This will be an item that gives you the speed I- or jump boost I effect when equipped. An enchantment glint would be visible. The boots will be green when they give the jump boost effect or blue when they give the speed effect. The boots must be leather boots because that would balance the effect on the boots. The boots must also be leather boots because that’s the only kind of boots that can be colored.

Bingocard

A custom card where you must collect certain items.

This item will be a custom map where you will see some random items. The items can be obtained throughout the game. If an item has been obtained, there will be a green “V” over the item on your map. If you get three items in a row (horizontal, vertical or diagonal), you’ll get a reward. I’m not sure yet about the reward so please help me discuss this one. You don’t need all three of the items at the same time to gain a reward.

Horserider

A horse and saddle.

This loot drop will contain a horse with one to five hearts and a saddle. The running speed won’t be faster than a player sprinting, but the horse can jump up to three blocks. The horse won’t be equipped with armor.

Rock, paper, scissors
A message will pop up in chat asking you to pick rock, paper or scissors.

When the lucky block is opened, a message will be displayed in chat, asking you to pick rock, paper or scissors. Position switch
Switches position with a random player.

When you open a lucky block and you get this thing, you’ll instantly switch position with a random player on the map. This could cause some weird situations. It would be interesting to see what happens in all sorts of situations.

Instant TnT
TnT that blows up instantly after being placed down.

This loot item will give you a normal TnT block with an enchantment glint. When you place down the TnT as a regular block, it will blow up instantly, blowing up the terrain and dealing damage to everything around it. This item will be dropped with 1-3 items in one loot drop.

Super pickaxe
Mine blocks instantly with this pickaxe.

This item is a golden pickaxe with a very high enchantment level (1337). The pickaxe has one durability left. The pickaxe also contains a second enchantment, unbreaking, with level XV. This way, the amount of uses left on the pickaxe will be randomized.

Mystery bow
An equal chance to shoot with every bow.

If you get this item, you’ll get a “Mystery bow”. It’s a bow which charges up a little bit (sped up in the animation below) and then will turn into one of the five special Lucky Islands bows. When you’ve used this random bow, so when you released the right button, the bow will turn into an empty mystery bow again and will have to charge up with an equal speed again.

Rainbow
A rainbow with some loot at the ends of it.

This build will build itself per layer, and will contain a golden block at the end of the rainbow. The other side, one block under the ground if there is ground, will also contain a gold block.

Anvil
Watch out for this anvil dropping down!

This loot item will drop an anvil from ten blocks high on the spot where the lucky block was broken. If there are any other block ten blocks above the location of the lucky block, they will disappear (turn into air). The anvil only has a couple of uses.

Desert
A sandy place with a cactus.

This little creation is harmless… or is it? It will spawn with eight sand blocks and a cactus in the middle. All the blocks are breakable.

Noteblock
A noteblock playing a tune that goes higher and higher until it hits the highest tune and then gives you a reward.

This block will spawn and start ticking up, playing each note with the particle coming out of the noteblock. When the player messes with the noteblock by right- or left clicking it, the noteblock will stop and not do anything anymore. When the player waits for the final note, they will get a little reward. I’m not sure yet about the reward and was thinking about a jump boost I effect.

Redshroom
An exploding redstone cow, didn’t we need more redstone?

This loot is a mooshroom that spawns and will launch up and drop redstone. When it explodes after a couple of seconds, it drops even more redstone like a pinata. It has a custom explosion particle effect. The mooshroom-redstone idea is being suggested here because there is little to no redstone on most Lucky Islands maps, which makes some traps hard to make, especially the ones with pistons.

Jukebox
A jukebox playing custom music, isn’t that a big party?

This block will spawn as a single jukebox. On top of the jukebox, you’ll see a note particle ever second. The jukebox won’t play music discs since these are used for the wands but will play a custom song. (like the MinerWare minigame where you need to sit in a chair when the music stops.) To stop the music, you must break the jukebox. If the jukebox is placed down again, the music will start again.

Map
This map looks interesting.

An item frame containing an unexplored map. This way it’s easier to see the entire map and maybe notice new places you haven’t seen before. You can take the map with you.

Flower
A lovely flower in a pot.

This loot item contains a flowerpot with a random flower in it, to make your day prettier! The flowerpot will only contain flower types.

Brewing stand
A way to brew your own potions.

This loot item will spawn in a brewing stand. In the brewing stand, you’ll find one to three random potions, always being tier one. You can take out the potions and brew your own ones or improve the ones that were in the brewing stand already.

Water carrot
Since when did water come from carrots.

This item will be an item that you will get one of per loot block. When you right click the carrot, it will fly like a snowball would fly and on impact, would create a water source. It acts like the Hot Potato but instead of exploding, it drops a water source on impact.

Changes to existing loot

Ore vein
This already existing loot item will give you an iron pickaxe, and will spread out some random ores, variating between iron, gold and diamond ores, into a spike that originally was four blocks away from the lucky block.
My suggestion: Add some lapis ore into the mix of ores as well. Lapis ore can be used to enchant your items. It would be the best to replace some of the diamond ores with lapis ores because there do spawn a lot of diamond ores when you get this loot. Adding lapis to enchant your stuff doesn’t necessarily make it too OP because if the lapis gets replaced with diamonds, you won’t get as much diamonds, so you won’t be able to make as much diamond armor/tools/weapons as before.

Normal bow + 2x6 tipped arrows
If you get this drop, you’ll receive a normal, unenchanted bow with six arrows that have the glowing effect when they hit an entity and six arrows that have the slowness effect when they hit an entity.
My suggestion: Mix more different types of arrow effects into those two existing arrow effects. You would still get those different types of tipped arrows in pairs of six. So, it could be possible that you get six tipped arrows with the weakness effect and six tipped arrows with the mining fatigue effect.

Potion kit change
The potion kit as it is now has two poison potions. One potion with a durability of 0:45 seconds and the other potion with a durability of 0:20 seconds. It would be a lot better if one of the two poison potions get replaced with another kind of potion. What about a drinkable instant health I potion?


Kits

Horseman
Riding your horse will impress every enemy you have!
Items:

-Horse
-Saddle

Price: 500 points
Description: When equipped, this kit will give you a horse with three to five hearts. The horse can jump three blocks high, but the running speed of the horse is not faster than a player sprinting. The horse will not have any armor equipped. The horse is already wearing the saddle.

Leprechaun
Aren’t you lucky enough?
Items:

-0:30 seconds of the luck II effect.

Price: 300 points
Description: This kit will give you 0:30 seconds of luck II. Luck II will guarantee you that your loot will be positive. This can be very useful when the “Normal” or “Crazy” game modifier are selected. But even when “Blessed” is selected it might be useful because some items are still neutral. Those ones will be excluded when you have the luck II effect applied.

Redstone master
Be ‘that one redstone guy’ yourself!
Items:

-10x redstone dust
-2x redstone repeater
-1x redstone comparator
-1x sticky piston
-1x piston
-1x lever
-1x button

Price: 400 points
Description: With this kit, you’ll have the possibility to trap people way easier! As it is right now, there isn’t a lot of choice when it comes to trapping. To get pistons, you’ll need to craft them up, which takes items like redstone, which isn’t available on every map.

Fisherman
Doesn’t this kit sound a little bit fishy?
Items:

-Fishing rod (Luck of the sea II, Lure I)
-Water bucket

Price: 300 points
Description: Have you ever wanted to fish but you didn’t want to play Skywars? Well this is the perfect kit! You could find some awesome stuff like name tags or leather. This kit is also useful to obtain a rod on 1.8 Lucky Islands to make fighting a little bit easier.

Brew master
Brew up your special drinks to become even better!
Items:

-Brewing stand
-1x Blaze powder
-1x Redstone dust
-1x Glowstone dust
-1x Rabbit foot
-1x Glistering melon
-1x Spider eye
-1x Ghast tear
-1x Magma cream
-1x Gunpowder

Price: 700 points
Description: Don’t you feel like fighting? This kit might be the perfect one for you! You can brew a wide variety of potions with this kit, positive or negative effects.

Bingo master
Scream bingo when you got a row!

Miscellaneous

Addition
When you craft up a lead and attach it to a sitting pet that has a dead owner, the pet will become yours.

Achievement change
Change the Team Lucky Islands achievement “Crazy cat person” from “Get every type of cat in a game of Team Lucky Islands” to “Get every type of cat in a game with your entire team in a game of Team Lucky Islands”. I had loads of trouble trying to get this achievement, because it was so hard. It also is a team Lucky Islands achievement after all, so I don’t see why it shouldn’t be with your entire team.

Achievement change
Change the reward of the achievement in solo and team Lucky Islands where you have to win 10.000 games of Lucky Islands from five cubelets to five uber cubelets. This achievement is such a big achievement that it is probably worth giving such a big reward. I don’t feel like five cubelets are a lot of cubelets. So why not five uber cubelets? Getting 10.000 wins is something not a lot of players are able to do after all.

Cat nerf
Cats are a type of pet in Lucky Islands. They run faster than a player can sprint and have a very small hitbox. I feel like they should get some kind of nerf. Maybe their health can be brought down, or their speed can be cut down.

Lucky blocks color option
With this option, you’ll be able to pick your own color of lucky blocks. It would be a little setting on the Lucky Islands NPC.
