Hello!
I’ve been playing Solo Lucky Islands a lot recently, and while the mode itself is already heavily luck-based, which already makes the mode unfair, crafting trapped chests feels even more unfair. Many players craft and use them as their main strategy, and since opening one cause an explosion, it can kill you even if you're in full diamond.
They're cheap and easy to craft, while the few counters like totems, notch or rainbow apples and blast protection boots, are all quite rare. Because of this imbalance, I think trapped chests should be uncraftable.
In the current rotation of 11 maps, 9 of them naturally give players access to at least one iron ingot. This means a minimum of two trapped chests can be crafted on most maps, with some maps providing even more iron through additional ore or iron blocks, allowing players to craft several trapped chests.
So what do I want to accomplish with this thread? I believe trapped chests should be uncraftable. Unlike others, I actually do think they should remain in the game, but only as the rare drops we have today. Their low rate already acts as a natural balance.
There have been previous threads discussing trapped chests, but since the issue is still present, I think it's worth bringing it up again.
