If you ask you will decrease your chances of getting the moderator rank. Just help the people in the server, stay active on the server and forums and then the staff will notice you, after that the staff and the owners decide if you get to be a staff member or not.

It's technically allowed, but not tolerated (if you get what I'm saying). If you see it unlocked from months ago, just leave it alone. It's annoying to revive threads.
