Hello fellow cubecrafters and I want to discuss about something CubeCraft doesn't want to open as of right now
If you're an OG CubeCrafter you know how the partner program used to help and sponsor cubecraft, and how the community loved the partner program, back then we had loads of youtubers, and partners, but since 2024, the partner application has been closed and many partners are now gone, many people really want the partner applications to be opened so they can get motivation to make content or host unofficial events or giveaways, but instead of talking why it should open, I'm here to talk about why it's difficult to maintain the program as of today
1- the moderation team will get overwhelmed by the amount of tasks they need to do daily: Cube's moderation team is not the biggest as it just has 31 members, and all of them are tasked with checking discord tickets, handling appeals, handling reports, doing ingame reports, hosting events and maintaining a safe environment in cubecraft overall, adding the partner program will only add more work for them, which is A LOT more difficult than it seems, the partner applications have no requirements in order to apply, because of that, hundreds of children apply for the rank (since most of them are 11-13 year olds they still think being a partner is a life changing thing), and most of the children that try to apply have really low quality content and probably using their parents device to record YouTube vids, if we add this the moderators will now have to look through tons of random vids of the applicants just to decide if they're fit or not, the moderation team have to expand and recruit more people to do more tasks or have other staff members who will do the partner support work exclusively
2- the partners won't always be abiding the rules: from what I learnt, partners can sometimes make terrible mistakes that end up hurting them or the platform they're partnered with, including the fact that a partner is not a trustworthy person, if the staff team doesn't "listen" to his demands, they end up making a vid exposing them, which is not what is cc looking in for a partner that is damaging their reputation
3- there are more important things to worry about than the partner program: even if cubecraft reopens the application, are the partners gonna play in a server that has bugs occur so often, cheaters and bypassers playing everyday, an anti-cheat system that is still on the works because the current one is still unresponsive? Of course partners are not gonna sponsor a server with so many problems, Cubecraft wants to look after the core problems and fix them expand the moderation team and fix the bugs, then we can think of reopening the partner program once the server is in a good stable state
Hopefully this summarises why it's not a good idea to reopen the program as of right now, I would love to see this program back running, but CubeCraft needs to look after what is important for their long-term plans and server stability.
