    This won't have much use. Shop campers could just run 2 blocks back and forth versus the 0.5 it currently is. This would also never work on trees.

    I have another idea, didn't read the megathread though. Currently there seems to be a timer that is started when you enter the shop, and when it reaches a certain time the hunger starts. When you leave the shop, the timer is immediately reset to zero. Maybe it could just slowly go down, so you need to spend at least as much time outside as inside to completely reset the timer?
