Not being that guy, but why do you call everyone bae? If you actually look up the term, I think you'd stop using it.
It means baby or sweetie, as you can see that is awkward to use towards a random person.
It definitely does, you can't change the way you say it. You'll just confuse the thousands of people who use the correct meaning.
