I loved this idea hamwody, but as a UI/UX Designer, I find the visual aesthetic of your suggestion impressive, though the User Experience (UX) could be complicated. I agree with @yurisatori0312 on certain points... many new Cubecraft mobile users may not know that they need to long press an icon to reveal its label?

I think we can bridge this gap by adopting a design similar to Material Design apps like Google Play or Gmail. Using toggle switches or a persistent label system that triggers with selection would be a more best approach

However... according to the current sidebar, there are a few challenges to consider:

* Menu Complexity: The current sidebar is used by many designers because it handles complex information and arc such as nested dropdown menus.

* Accessibility: Relying on hidden gestures like long-presses creates a "hidden feature" problem, which can hinder the onboarding process for new players.

* Navigation Efficiency: A clean UI is excellent.. but it must be balanced against the need for clear immediate legibility so users dont have to guess where specific functions are located

Ultimately, I believe the current UI is better, because it ensures that the interface remains accessible for all users, including those on Android devices, mirroring the experience provided on PC :D
thanks for your time to reply and the compliments, keeping the UI clean, comfortable to the eye, and incredibly simple to use. If the "long press" gesture felt too hidden or complicated for them, we can explain that the hotbar can just have clean, always-visible text labels right under the icons, or it can seamlessly expand when tapped. This completely solves their concern while keeping your beautiful, minimalist design intact
