So, as we all know Cubecraft blocked posting links in the chat. While this may seem like a good thing at first, after a while it gets really annoying. Why you might ask? Well, as of recently you can't do /tell a link either. This is annoying because I'm often in a lobby with AFK staff who forget to go into vanish, and I try to answer everyone's questions. However, because I can't post links I have to try to guide them through the forums and after I'm done with one person, there were already 3 or more other people asking for help. So I have two solutions:

Solution 1:
Allow all links with a Cubecraft domain to be stated in public chat, and allow YouTube and Imgur links in /tell.

Solution 2:
If a staff member sees someone really helpful on the forums and/or in game they can whitelist this person from link blocking, just as staff are.

Solution 1: I like, this should of been considered when the rule was made.
Solution 2: I like also. But the staff member would need to completely trust the player. One helpful post shouldn't add them to the list.

I think that the link filter is linked to the words filter, if a player is on the link whitelist, wouldn't they also be allowed to say anything else, like swear words?

Allowing links with Cubecraft domain would be awesome as it's easier to link it to a new player - as some of them (as I noticed) can't figure out where to check out ranks and reports (I guess there are many who complains about the forum layout)
As for the YouTube link, I don't think that would be nice, someone might just spam their channel or another Youtube video with another server IP on it. Can't always check every youtube link for it.

It's not a bad idea, but you won't know what a player is really like without staff watching over. They could be pretending and when they gain trust, abuse it. It may also show a bit of favoritism which may put a player off so I'm not really fond of this idea.

Solution one is probably the best choice. While having a whitelist of people posting links in chat could be seen as useful, half the times it is not. Having it only allow a CubeCraft domain would be the best choice considering if something is NSFW here, it would probably get deleted. Therefore, no scams etc.

What if there was a monitor for whitelisted players? this wouldn't be for the staff.

I would say option ONE, but it could be a bit annoying if people are gonna send loads of cubecraft links in the "main" chat.

So i would say: allow links with a cubecraft domain in ./tell chat and NO links in "main" chat.

Actaully everything's is said about this. But I'm going to say it once more. :P
Staff can't trust somebody that helps one person.

So eh I was playing with @Lezappen and people thought he was fake... I tried to send them his Profile Page...
But didn't work... So yeah....
It would be nice if we could only send the Cubecraft forums site... Or something.....
But I like both of them.... xD

I would go with solution number 1. Not so much number 2. Reasons are stated above.

Back on topic:
If its based on CubeCraft related stuff then in my opinion it would be great :D. Instead of always saying Go to Cubecraft Forums to report some one or in general telling someone step by step to get to a certain place in the Forums, you can just give the link. (An appropriate one) Overall I think it's more organized like that. So +1 for mee ;)

Don't read if you haven't already voted above. :p
If you clicked here, then I will tell you some possible cons that could happen. There is a big risk that if this get implemented, there could be serious spam happening to the forums. So this is my theory on how advertising could still work, even though it's a cubecraft link. First of all, it's really easy to post something in forums you can type URL, Curse, or basically free speach. (Meaning you can type anything you want, without a staff member knowing yet) The advertiser, or whatever scamer the person is could go onto the forums before hand. Type in what ever they would say if they were in that specific lobby. They would then link it and paste it into the CubeCraft Server. If they have spambots, they can just spam the link for the CubeCraft fourms. People would then get curious, click on it and bam.. They been click baited.

Be careful what you wish for..
