Yeah I just did a clear report on a dude trolling and make me uncomfortable and they didn't do anything bc "insufficient evidence"
Now this is really questionable.
They are humans too, they should understand the situation regardless of some screenshots 😕
Like come on, I know things are meant to be systematic and formal but that doesn't mean we are gonna let people say anything and bypass the possible punishment.

Actually, it’s the exact opposite. This is precisely why some reports can’t be handled. Moderators are human too, which means not every situation can be fully understood from limited evidence, even if it seems obvious to the person reporting. Sometimes moderators simply don’t have enough to go on, and it goes without saying that no one wants to receive, or issue, an unfair punishment.

Because of this, trolling reports are often judged based on interpretation, meaning not everyone will agree on the same outcome. It has nothing to do with corruption or bypassing.

To add to that, if someone is repeatedly calling you out or making you feel uncomfortable, you can file a player safety report. This can be done on the forums. Keep in mind, however, that these reports are also based on interpretation, though they will be reviewed with full discretion to ensure the best possible outcome for everyone involved. No one should feel uncomfortable whilst playing on the server.

I'd also like to add that it seems the moderator in question, CKelting, may have simply had a bad day and responded in a frustrated manner. Unfortunately, people tend to immediately call out bad behaviour but rarely acknowledge good behaviour, since doing good is often taken for granted. Let’s all please calm down, there is always room for improvement.

Agreed with this one.

I have a right to be a little frustrated when a player on their server made me uncomfortable and they won't do anything, it's been an ongoing issue. Even they are human then they're letting another human stay uncomfortable. If they're doing reports on interpretation then they shouldn't be modding. Modding is unbiased you look at the facts, and if the evidence shows harassment and making the person uncomfortable then that's facts and they actively ignored the facts. Good is only welcomed if the bad gets something done about which is rare. The /report on the server itself is basically useless half of the time bc the reports close and nothing gets done, I so rarely see a report get done.

We acknowledge their work, and we truly respect them. We’re glad that they are trying to make this community a better place. However, they did make a mistake, and if they had apologized, none of this would have become an issue. They didn’t say sorry to the player or ask how the player felt afterward. Everyone has bad days, and we understand that frustration can come out on players sometimes. But when a mistake happens, simply apologizing is enough. It’s a simple solution to a simple problem.

Indeed, an apology would have shown accountability and probably would have stopped the situation from escalating. I really hope this is being looked into. Not for the reason of punishing anyone, but just to make sure this won't happen in the future.

As I said, there's always room for improvement, and that really does apply to all of us.

I understand why you feel frustrated. No one should have to deal with behavior that makes them uncomfortable, and it is natural to be upset when it seems like nothing is being done. Everyone deserves to play in a safe and fair environment.

From what I have seen on the server, including when I have been streaming, the report command does work. Sometimes it feels like nothing happens because moderators are not online at that moment. They are volunteers doing their best and rely on clear evidence to make fair decisions.

That is why recording is so important. It gives moderators something concrete to review. If something serious happens, record it and submit a report with the footage here:

CKelting likely did not mean to offend anyone. It is best to leave this topic here and move on, keeping discussions focused and respectful.

Players who stay calm and follow the right steps are the ones whose concerns are most likely to be addressed. Let’s keep the server a place where everyone can feel safe and heard.
