Welcome to the solo Skywars map - Sonic
This is a small solo Skywars map created by glimmking.
Sonic has a charming cartoon like look which makes it very attractive. The map has three parts.
1) The Main Island - This is the center island which is reasonably small, it has no blocks underneath it which allows it to act as an unstable platform. It consists of some 4 holes with water filling them, 2 chests and 4 palm trees. It is surrounded by 3 rings which are "Sonic Coins" from the original games. Located on top of each ring are 2 chests.
2) The Sub-Islands - These are the four long curved islands that surround the main island. They are about 40 blocks long and are very deep as well. Each sub-island consists of a speed ramp that is supported by a fence which is also a feature in the original Sonic games, 2 flowers and two small Sonic rings. In each Sonic ring is a chest. There are also 2 holes filled with water in every sub-island.
3) The Player Islands - There are 12 player islands in total. For each sub-island there are 3 player islands. This will cause competition and intense battles because the islands are so close to each other. Each player island is quite small and consists of a small structure with a chest located on top of it, a flower , a tree, another chest on its surface and a hidden mine which can be reached via the water filled hole. In the hidden mine there is a furnace, crafting table and a chest. I recommend having only 2 chests in-game I simply presented 3 potential locations.
The sub and player islands have many vines running down them which creates a realistic vibe. The surface of all the islands is made of concrete which is used in a later Minecraft version which I can very simply change to clay if needed. This map was created by myself with Minecraft and MC Edit. That is all. I got inspiration from google images and copied the structures from the Sonic Games.
