CubeCraft has released a major Skyblock update adding new quests, features, items, enchantments, and the hub as well. A few of them were unchanged. The difficulty for Skyblock remained at Normal since 2023. I would prefer changing it to Easy so that mobs significantly take less damage including explosions as well, the way it was in 2020. Also note that starvation will likely bring your health points down to 10 (5 hearts). It used to bring down to 1 health point (0.5 hearts). On Easy difficulty, players use less armor durability than Normal if a mob attacks you with a sword on their hands.
They added Swift Sneak for the Leggings, Soul Speed for the Boots, and Lunge for the Spear. The main problem is that Swift Sneak has a limit of Level 3 which increases sneaking speed by 45%, resulting in a 75% sneaking speed. We want it to have a limit of Level 5 for Swift Sneak to reach its peak of 100% sneaking speed. This is way overpowered for this to be changed. Each level of Swift Sneak increases sneaking speed by 15%. You normally sneak at 30% of normal movement speed.
Reborn also added Copper Generators. The price for this is 60,000 Skyblock Coins. It regenerates for 20 minutes. With boosts active, it will be 10 minutes. Will they add Copper Ingots as a possible boost? The optimiser still has 7 Levels of boost. It will likely have 8 Levels of boost.
What’s missing is the Crossbow enchantments. It only has Unbreaking and that’s it. They didn’t add Piercing, Quick Charge, and Multishot. I would say that Piercing doesn’t have a level limit. Quick Charge I would say Level 5 the maximum. Level 6 refuses the Crossbow to load. Level 5 instantly loads the Crossbow. I would prefer unlocking this past Level 5. Piercing allows the player to shoot through multiple mobs at once. Each level of Piercing increases mob pierce by 1. Level 1 goes through 2 mobs at once and Level 4 goes through 5 mobs at once. Level 10 goes through 11 mobs at once something like this.
Multishot is limited to one level. It simply can’t do anything beyond Level 1. It shoots out 3 arrows at once instead of just 1. This includes fireworks as well. Should we raise the Crossbow cost to like 5 or 15 Experience Levels from Level 1 instead of 3?
Copper items cost 5 Experience Levels for Level 1. It’s the same as Stone and Gold. I was crafting the Copper Axe and the damage always deals 9 points of damage (4.5 hearts). The Copper Axe is way better than Diamond and Netherite Swords. Diamond Swords does 7 points of damage (3.5 hearts) and Netherite Swords does 8 points of damage (4 hearts). This change is only affected to Bedrock Edition, not Java Edition. Please reduce of damage of Copper Axes to be more like Stone to keep it balanced. It can be useful for raiding islands and clearing them until it gets nerfed.
Please note that Spears are only craftable in Skyblock Reborn, not on other games besides SkyWars, BlockWars, Lucky Islands, and Pillars of Fortune. Spears allow players to perform sweeping attacks like on Java Edition but the item can break quickly if you attack multiple mobs at once. Spears were better than Swords. It can be so useful to grind/farm XP. It can deplete a lot of hunger which can easily cause starvation.
Another thing that Skyblock isn’t having a reporting system and there is no Sentinel detection at all. They should implement this so that cheaters in Skyblock can detect Sentinel such as flight, aura, reach, and abnormal click patterns. You can either get kicked or banned if you click above 15 CPS. This isn’t applied to Skyblock. It should have this implemented around 2026 or 2027. Not sure what is the exact date for this to implement.
The main problem is that mobs despawn if the player is 128 blocks away from the mob. They didn’t fix it. They would’ve added a persistence required data for this to work. Persistence required is data that prevents mobs from despawning. Mobs with persistence required doesn’t despawn 128 blocks away including players who returned to lobbies and then rejoin Skyblock, the mobs will stay there forever unless you make them fall into the void.
It’s very useful for mobs to fall 384 blocks from Y: 320 to Y: -64 without despawning them, higher fall distance means more damage taken. The attribute of Safe Fall Distance is 4 normally. 384 blocks of fall distance is 380 points of damage (190 hearts). This does almost 400 points of damage (200 hearts). That’s crazy. I did this on a vanilla Java world to test everything out.
I forgot to mention that Cave Spiders in CubeCraft Skyblock Reborn update will poison players on Easy difficulty. In a vanilla world, Cave Spiders weren’t poisoning players on Easy difficulty. They do on Normal.
The last change is to make Skyblock Coins precise over 1,000 like this 1,337 -> 1.34K on menu and sidebar scoreboard. Do this for K, M, and B.
Examples of 1,000 Skyblock Coins values precision:
28,500 -> 28.50K
123,456 -> 123.46K
1,048,500 -> 1.05M
15,000,000 -> 15.00M
111,222,333 -> 111.22M
2,147,000,000 -> 2.15B
