Crappy wifi

I've got a good router (I hope) and I was wondering if someone could list multiple ways of how I could improve my wifi?

OMG this thread is just what i need.... i have a bad router too, sucky wifi... ive tried the "metal can" strats, helped for a limited amount of time ...

You won't get viruses... You can buy ram off Amazon or something, then put it into your computer.

My computer is perfectly fine...I run at about 200 fps on max settings and Optifine, it's just my wifi that sucks.

We contacted Time Warner Cable, they said that the signal was very weak and they stabilized it, but only for a few days. We have bought multiple routers and I think that its the original signal that is slow.

We have many people in the house, me, my parents, and my grandparents. My grandparents came in a few days ago and it has never been so slow. Any help, i.e. Ethernet, etc.?

I think that's the problem, but I'm wondering if there is any way I can improve it still even though so many ppl are using it.

Lags like crazy :/ My max is never more than 40 with my lowest 0, and when I run everything it's always between 3-7
