I got hit today underwater and negated 100% knockback, was hackusated but still very amused at this rare phenomenon. Btw what does rng mean?

(In games) it's used to simulate luck. For example: You have to by lucky to get a rare drop, but statistically it's really a 0.5% drop meaning you only have to kill 200 to get one (statistically).
Also I don't have access to a computer to actually play on the server right now...
