Dear CubeCraft Team,
Assassination brings back a lot of great memories for many members of the CubeCraft community. While there were certainly issues with hackers and duplication glitches in the past, I believe the situation has changed significantly since then.
Microsoft has completed the account migration, which makes it much more difficult to create large numbers of accounts. As far as I am aware, account generators no longer work either. These changes could already make a significant difference compared to the situation when Assassination was previously available.
One of the main benefits of bringing Assassination back would be the opportunity to attract both returning and new players. If players can enjoy the game mode without their gameplay being constantly disrupted by hackers, they are more likely to stay on the server and become part of the CubeCraft community.
I also don't think Assassination needs many new features or major changes. The simplicity of the game mode was actually one of its strengths. It was easy to understand, accessible to new players, and still provided plenty of depth for experienced players.
One change that I believe could improve the experience would be having only one map available at a time instead of three or four, as was the case in the past. This could prevent things such as bounty farming and would concentrate more players on a single map, creating a more active and enjoyable gameplay experience.
I understand and appreciate the reasons why the admins decided to remove Assassination in the first place. However, I believe some of those concerns are no longer as relevant as they once were. The circumstances have changed, particularly following the Microsoft migration, and some of the problems that affected the game in the past may now be much less significant.
For these reasons, I believe bringing Assassination back could be a relatively simple way to attract both returning and new players. With the Java community having declined over the years, finding ways to bring players back to CubeCraft and keep new players engaged is more important than ever. Bringing back a popular game mode such as Assassination could be a meaningful step in that direction.
Most importantly, CubeCraft already has the maps and much of the infrastructure needed for the game mode. This means that bringing it back may require considerably less work than introducing an entirely new game mode, while still having the potential to make a significant impact on the community.
Even a one-month trial would be a great way to test the idea. It would allow CubeCraft to see how many players return, how active the game mode becomes, and whether there is enough interest from the community to justify keeping it permanently.
Thank you for taking the time to consider this suggestion. I hope CubeCraft will consider giving Assassination another chance. There are still many players who remember the game mode, and I believe there is a genuine opportunity to bring some of that community back. Bring it back on java and if that works out great do it also on bedrock.
Kind regards,
A member of the CubeCraft community
