Looks cool, I hope that Java will gain a sufficient amount of new/returning players so it can going. It would suck that, even after all the effort, the server has to go

okay so here are my thoughts, everything here feels like its aimed to the younger audience who don't have enough time to play regularly. In my opinion the version I have described should be bedrock since it is much more accessible. Game modes feel like they have been much more dumbed down, and changed to an extent which skill isn''t really required. I.E, wardens added to skywars?? netherite added to eggwars (which significantly lowers knockback) etc. Java edition are for in my opinion the more dedicated players who are dedicated strictly towards good gameplay.
Lots of the Java player base are strictly Java players who enjoy a tougher, more vintage experience, which cube has had for the past 10 years. Lots of players who I have spoken too (just from the eggwars sector) have already started to transition to other servers for the same gameplay experience that cube always had. In my opinion there is no thought for the ranked players who were dedicated enough to buy ranks and vote everyday to keep this server alive. But with this 'beta' and the clear transition to move towards a younger player base, the server will surely die, with already 300 less overall players on the day of release of a new update.
Not to mention the amount of bugs already encountered. Lobbies freezing every minute, games freezing after wins, party chat disabled for some users. But to conclude, please keep the new flashy block pallets and the new flashy textures for bedrock, even hypixel hasn't implemented such childish features and they have loads of users, and please think about the users who have stuck around for years to see just a blatant transition to a very child orientated who rarely play and server hop, just to eventually play on hypixel. Maybe just ask the community what they want, instead of going into it blindly because its clear anyone who worked on this update has no idea how to actually play minecraft.

Oh my god. I tried playing a game of Egg Wars. What have you done to it? You destroyed one of your best games. Diamonds for Obi?! Are you trying to encourage even more rushing, and that's on OP mode? Furthermore, now it's Iron armor non-enchanted for how you start?! The water map is impossible to kill people, or so buggy because players can hit you but you can't hit them. This update, at least for Egg Wars is entirely backward and non-sensical. I played a few games and it was so buggy and messed up that I quit. I'm sorry but Egg Wars is ruined. You promised to stay to the basics in the video and make it feel classic. You did the complete opposite. The gameplay is horrendous and so many people in-game are complaining and upset in-game.
I had such high hopes for Egg Wars, but I was very wrong. If this is how Egg Wars is going to be, the game I have loved for 8 years. Then I'm done.

Voting seems to be broken right now :( I lost my voting streak from that, and created a ticket so hopefully, I can get that back. I also noticed the legendary 'potions' Halloween cublet trail is also broken. It appears for a few seconds and then disappears.

I am genuinely impressed how u made it worse than the last one, eggwars is completely unbalanced now when it didnt need changing, i can 2 crit kill someone with full iron with an iron sword on half hp, it is more broken than mcc island was on release. Im not even gonna go into the screen moving on being hit because that is the most stupid idea ever. The whole point of this update seems to be to make it feel like bedrock which im not suprised by at all. Java is supposed to be different, its meant to feel like the original minecraft, now it feels a second behind on everything like bedrock has been in my experience. Stop trying to make the server bedrock, no one wants it if they are playing java
This is one of the worst updates, my expectations were already super low but somehow it got even worse than I couldv'e possibly imagined. Egg Wars is ruined now, everything is bugged etc. Sad to see all of the Egg wars player base go now because of this update...

Yes, I love the server, I think this update can give more players to the server
Alright, first impressions time!
- Parkour looks good, new maps and nice menu's
- Skyblock doesn't feel too bad, apart from the different pvp of course
- Haven't tried eggwars yet, should I? haha
- Building is on point, so many new cool blocks in the newer versions
- Looks like bedrock a little bit, especially with the floating names of the games
CONCLUSION:
Good update, not what we (the players who didn't move to mcci or tubnet or bedrock on purpose, and stayed on cube because that is what they enjoy) asked for and if the other issues (poor marketing, too much drama from staff, out of touch with community,...) aren't resolved it will only damage the playercounts in my opinion.
I'll make a more detailed post once I have played for longer!
