Sticky Thread in Bug Reports

So, as some of you know I always try to reply to threads in Bug Reports fast. However, some of the threads are on the same issue over and over. I thought of making a sticky thread on common questions to diminish this issue. I have nothing better to do, so I mind as well try to make it. (If this thread is made sticky, the title should be changed to "Read This Before Posting" and all blue text should be removed)

This is a thread that discusses commonly asked questions. Before making a thread, make sure your issue is not already covered within this thread.

How do I report a player?

If you have sufficient evidence of the player, feel free to report them here: https://www.cubecraft.net/forums/report-a-player.24/ . Your reports are appreciated and will help clean the server from rule breakers!

I'm banned/muted! Help!

Please don't freak out and spam staff profiles. Instead, submit an appeal here: https://appeals.cubecraft.net/
It will ask you for a verification code. You can find this code on your ban screen, or you can see it when you try to type in chat when you are muted. Don't share this code publicly as someone could submit a fake appeal as you!

If you feel your appeal was falsely denied, start a conversation with the staff member that punished you. Don't write messages on their profile or create a thread, this will lessen the chance of your punishment being revoked.

I know there is already a thread on these two, but it's outdated.

How do I get colored text under my messages?

Keep in mind images can't be added. Those with images are old signatures that were never updated.

STOP RIGHT THERE. That is a scam link that is trying to hack you and get personal information. Immediately close that link.

I can't connect to the server! Help!

Make sure you are using one of the correct IPs; which are play.cubecraft.net, play.cubelag.net, play.cubecraftgames.net, or hub.thechunk.net . If none of those work, try restarting the game. If you still can't connect, you'll need to reinstall Minecraft. If problems further persist, contact support@cubecraft.net or create a thread in Tech Support.

I keep crashing when I join the server. What do I do?

The most common crash report involves minidumps not being enabled. You can see if that is the issue if you see the words Failed to write core dump at the bottom of your Game Output. To fix this, follow these steps:

1. Click on Options in the Main Menu

2. Click on Video Settings

3.Turn on VBOs.

If your crash does not contain the words Failed to write core dump, feel free to make a thread or start a conversation with @JvwerMcGames .

I keep glitching back when I play games. What is this caused by?

First, always check your ping at http://www.pingtest.net/
If you have good ping (the lower the better), then restart your router. If that doesn't work, create a thread.

I can't vote. What do I do?

If someone has voted for another server on the same device, you won't be able to vote. Unfortunately that's the way that Minecraft Servers works, and not much can be done about it.

A Few More General Problems

If you encounter a glitch in game on version 1.10, make sure the glitch also happens in 1.9. If it doesn't, don't make a thread as the glitch does not affect everyone.

If you can't upload video evidence to a thread, upload it to YouTube first. Then paste the YouTube link into the thread.

If I missed something commonly discussed in bug reports, feel free to let me know.

One problem though. Most people that are new here, don't really look at the sticky post. Take a look at "Please do not put player reports here" sticky thread. Even though there's the sticky thread, I still see players report in the bugs/support.

Edit: But I can see how this could work :D It's just a matter of "Will people see it and acknowledge it"

I'm aware of the issue, but I'm pretty sure the sticky thread brings down the amount of reports.

Just one small thing: I think 1.10-only bugs are still important to fix as the server wants to be 1.10 compatible.

Hey Build, nice job on writing this, it should help a lot of players on the forums who are clueless. Of course there are still a few who will still have the same doubts and continue asking questions but nothing can really be done about those, but good job! This will help around a lot! ;-)

I'm aware that some of them are repeats, but quite a few of them are not addressed in another sticky thread. These include:
- Changing Username
- Making A Signature
- Purchasing A Rank
- Scam Websites
- Connecting Issues
- Crashing
- Glitching
- Not Being Able to Vote

Also, other sticky threads that discuss reports and appeals are outdated because of the new guidelines.

Maybe they could give a warning when you're trying to create a thread in the bug report section telling you to check if anyone else has already reported the same bug or asked the same question
