Run minecraft smoothly

Hello everybody,
I have a 2011 Macbook Pro 4 GB of ram and a 24m45 Monitor connected to the computer as well as a wirelles keybord via bluetooth and a wirelles mouse via Usb connector

How many ram should i give to minecraft to play minecraft normaly?

2 gb Ram if you use mods... Stay default if playing Cubecraft... For other server with big minigames I would recommend 2 but you only have 4 so better stay default best thing to do is Optifine... ;D

Im running 5Zig and optifine but I still only have around 20 fps and in lobbies 10 fps without players... I gave it 3 GB to run on

I'm running skype and spotify sometimes the browser in the background.
render distance 8 and particals minimal

Jesus that's a lot .-. :/ try turning off other specs .-. Not only render distance and particles ;) Also test it at a SinglePlayer world and not the server... The lobbies are a bit laggy :/ (too much entities...) Maybe turning of some other things.. Idk :/

You won't get very great performance with such an old laptop, but to get the best performance possible out of it I suggest you allocate no more than 2GB of RAM to Minecraft and turn all the game settings to minimum. The integrated HD 3000 GPU isn't designed for gaming.
