With 1.9 just around the corner (29th Feb 2016 to those who haven't noticed the justified panic across the minecraft community), comes great opportunity for the vanity system!
We have armour and hat-related vanity items, so why not weapons and tools? With the update could come hundreds of different combinations for items that can be equipped in both the on-hand and off-hand character slots, allowing for infinite variety within the lobbies, and would also give you completionists unlockables to constantly strive towards! When you log in, you will automatically be holding the items that you logged out with, similarly to how hats work. Please express your opinions on this suggestion below, as well as in the poll. Not only will it provide long-term incentives to continue to play the server, it'll finally give donators something to spend those pesky vanity points on.
And with that, I leave you a screenshot of my dream vanity loadout ^.-

no offense but is this something to cover up the pvp situation in 1.9?

who says 1.9 would be a good oppurtunity for cubecraft and for all other pvp servers??

if pvp is not saved in 1.9 then i might aswell plan to quit minecraft

I'm sick of all the 'hardcore pvpers' going around and dudding all over the 1.9 threads and saying "oMFG man THIS uPDATE IS AWFUL brb quiting minecruft 4 lyfe".
Clearly you haven't done your research because the 1.9 pvp system has been created specifically to be better, just because you're afraid of change doesn't mean you have to ruin it for those pvpers who are ok with this update. Because it helps them get better at pvp because they can let their skills shine without the old pvp system ruining it because of it's flaws and invulnerabilities.

I agree with 1.9 to the fullest, especially for a person such as myself who plays a lot of pvp on CubeCraft and other servers.

Great suggestions Snap, I'm all for new cosmetics. They're the best.

Not at all, I simply see an opportunity that has arose from the 1.9 update that will cater to the crowds of players complaining that there is a lack of use for vanity points. After a while of testing out the 1.9 update, I actually like most of what has been changed, and reckon it'll improve PvP in the long run. My only criticism at the moment is that the new god apples aren't useful enough to justify the 8 gold blocks that are used to make them.

Doesn't solve 1.9 the problem of killaura for now. People will spamclick you, but if you get a few hits you still beat him :D im sure some coders will make a 1.9 killaura soon, but it'll probably take a while untill all hackers find out I think.
