Behind you.
If you see someone advertising one of those sites, just message me and I'll remove the thread and ban the user.

Most of the servers being advertised are not advertised over links though. They type it in chat and spam it.
It would be seen as a message then and the 5-message system would not work.

Oh, is he? @Younisco are you talking about the server itsself or forums?

Still don't see why a link being posted wouldn't be seen as a message.
Yeah forums lmao. There has been a significant uprise with people who decide to send links of products / hoaxes, advertising it in hope to gain revenue. You would agree that this isn't the soul purpose of a Minecraft server forums, right? xD

Also, posting anything into forums will count as a message (apart from profile posts / messages).

Yes, how to differ msgs from links then?
I don't think you know what I am trying to get at :p

If someone has less than 5 messages, they will be unable to post any link in any msg. (apart from youtube links, as they will most likely be reports).

I only sometimes see members posting links... on their profiles maybe.

Idk.. could be a thing but I personally don't think it's is something we definately need. Oh well xD
I'll just leave this open.

At the very least, it would make advertising a little more difficult. It's a nice suggestion. I like it, but I'm not sure how necessary it is. I don't see many people advertising links on the forums, but then again, maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.

The problem isn't adding this feature, it's stopping people from bypassing it :/

It's not because of people who bypass - it's mainly for the bots. People create spam accounts to advertise a product no matter what - meaning that it will essentially stop them.

This last week I've seen about 8 people advertising products, which isn't exactly what this forums is for..
