Java Two For One

Hi there!

As usual, I was playing Lucky Islands, and came up with a little suggestion.

If you have two (or more) bows, you should be able to craft them up into a new, random bow, like shown below.

Because now, you just get a regular bow.

While talking about combining stuff, why not for wands too? You'd get a new, random wand if you combine two wands.

Yes! I really hate the shield want and if i get it when I have the wiz kit, i throw it off the edge. Now it has a use :)

Or if i get 3 slime wands then ill use it too.

You can use a shield wand when you're falling into the void to save yourself ;p

Those are some good examples, my obvious one was the invisibility wand, it's unnecessary when you have some armour on you.

I think the trade-off that you only get one in return for the two balances this a lot. I think its a solid addition. I approve.

I always have so many wands that I never use.. This would definitely be great to have. Then I don't need to keep dealing with all those invisibility wands

Seems like a good idea. Only issue is that I'm not aware if it's 100% possible. The inventory crafting is a special section, so I'm not sure if custom items can be crafted out of it. I'll consider this though! :)

I thought of something, what if every bow in the game gets a custom NBT tag, and the game itself checks for a "normal" bow (that would be a bow without any NBT tags) so then it can change that bow into a random, special one. It might not be the best fix, but it could be something?

I don't have anything in mind for the wands though, which is probably the most useful for this suggestion.
