Map Submission- Jurassic Islands. This is a duo map. Hopefully this map goes to the game. BTW this is for Bedrock Edition

[bPlqMC]

This is a Skywars map called Jurassic Islands based on dinosaurs. I would be nice if this went to the game, you know. Map Creators were me aka bPlqMC and my friend Nozomi-Kun. Vote in honest opinions.

I like the map however I feeel like it does not have quite enough detail on the islands , and the bottom of the middle looks a little funny. I think if you worked on it a little more it could be up to cubecraft’s map standards
I’m not going to vote until you improve the aesthetic a little bit
also the islands are too square

[Deann]

It's a cute map and I love your building style, but it needs to be more detailed. The ground, for example, should have terrain instead of just being mostly flat. It's a no for now, but you could definitely improve it

[bPlqMC]

Ok, Thanks for the support!!! I will improve the map for sure.

Awesome! I look forward to seeing the improved version :]

[bPlqMC]

I tried to improve the map a little bit. Tell me if anything looks trash.
I made the islands a shape of a dinosaur foot, made islands have gates like Jurassic Park, improved cave, more terrian.

[Deann]

Loving the improvements, maybe change the bedrock in mid to something else though as that can probably get abused. The gates I think could also use a bit of work, but I'm not really a builds expert so you should ask someone else about that. Could we get a screenshot of the whole map from above as well?

[bPlqMC]

Of course! Oh btw does it mater if the islands are symmetrical or not?

[Deann]

The islands don't have to be perfectly symmetrical or matching, but they should be very similar to each other to make sure the game is fair, and in the overview picture they should be symmetrical enough that it looks clean.

[bPlqMC]

Is that symmetrical enough?

[Deann]

It's not bad, but I think it would be a lot better if you

• Spaced the spawn islands out, they're super close to each other and there is a lot of open space in the corners of the map, so just increasing the space between them would make the map look a lot cleaner
• Lined them up more exactly, as you can see in the picture for example the islands on the left are further down than the two on the right, and it looks off

You can do both of these pretty quickly with WorldEdit by copy-pasting, if you don't use it already
Not sure if there's a worldedit alternative for bedrock, but it makes builds much easier

[wxzzrd]

The islands should be the same distance to mid, but it is ok if there are two styles of island alternating, but they have to be the same distance from mid, the picture you had is not good enough. Also the island still look squarish, so try to make them look more like floating islands then strips of land in the sky

Bedrock

[Deann]

Bedrock

True true I'll unlink it then, not sure if there's a counterpart for bedrock though, no worldedit makes builds a lot harder

Just use structure blocks and /fill they are basically vanilla world edit.

[Deann]

I'm not really familiar with building in vanilla or bedrock, but if you can copy/paste builds in vanilla bedrock then that works, that's what I was suggesting he use it for.

[wxzzrd]

Yes then they can be symmetrical

[bPlqMC]

So should I make they bottom more of a point?

[bPlqMC]

Here is the new result of the islands, some have trees and some have volcanoes. Tell me if there is anything wrong.

[wxzzrd]

The island is still squarish, try going into some skywars on cubecraft and look at the islands
