Your old Cubelets were converted into newer ones, but because the newer ones are worth more due to new loot you actually receive less. You still get what you worked for.

Hello CubeCrafters!
Today we've released one of our largest updates for a while, Loot! There's so much to talk about, so let's get straight to the point!
Cubelets
We've completely changed how the Cubelet system works. There are now 3 tiers of Cubelet. Each tier drastically increases the chances of unlocking rarer items! Here's a brief look at the tiers:
Cubelet: A Cubelet is what we all know as a Cubelet. These have the lowest "worth", and you'll mostly find Common items inside these Cubelets. However despite the odds being low, you can still obtain Mythical items from these Cubelets!
Super Cubelet: This is the second tier of Cubelets, and inside these you're much more likely to get Rare and Uncommon items. It is impossible to find a Common item inside a Super Cubelet.
Uber Cubelet: Now these Cubelets are Rare! They're very challenging to obtain through gameplay, however the rewards are awesome! Inside an Uber Cubelet, you're guaranteed to find at least a Rare item! This Cubelet also comes with a totally unique opening effect, which stands out from all the other effects!
Obtaining Cubelets
Cubelets can be obtained from playing our games just like they always have been. However we've changed how we reward players with Cubelets. You no longer need to win games in order to find a Cubelet. There are many more factors that we take in to account such as previous games, the number of teams in the game that you're playing and more. Overall this makes the Cubelets that you get rewarded from playing games far fairer. Regular Cubelets are the only Cubelets that can be found in game at the moment.
Cubelets found in games expire after 2 weeks, make sure to open them or craft them in to higher tier Cubelets! :D
Cubelet Crafting
With this update you can also take lower tier Cubelets and craft them into higher tiered Cubelets. Within the Cubelet menu, there is a button that allows you to see the crafting recipes. Once you have the required ingredients, you'll be able to craft the Cubelet. Here's what the "costs" are to craft the 3 different tiers:
You may be thinking: "That's 25 Regular Cubelets to make an Uber Cubelet, that's loads! :confused1: " but do not fear, it is possible to achieve, and hopefully you'll really enjoy what you end up with if you manage to craft your very own Uber Cubelet! Trust us they are worth it! We've also heard the requests for more different features between Emerald and Obsidian rank, so we've also added a price that's exclusive to Obsidian rank players. Both the Super and Uber Cubelet will cost 1 less Cubelet to craft! That means 4 Cubelets make a Super Cubelet and 4 Super Cubelets make an Uber Cubelet.
Crafted Cubelets expire after 2 weeks.
Loot Points!? :eek:
You might have seen up above that we mentioned Loot Points?! Loot Points are a new currency (not to be confused with our previous "Vanity Points" currency) that we've introduced. Don't you just hate it when you get the same item out of a Cubelet? Well no need to worry! We'll now give you some Loot Points instead. Each tier of Cubelet rewards you with more Loot Points than the previous tier. Once you have enough Loot Points you can craft them back into Cubelets, inside the Cubelet Crafting menu.
Sneaky tip: Cubelets expire, Loot Points don't. If you're aiming for higher tiered Cubelets, don't craft them straight away ;)

You also may have noticed that the number of Cubelets you have has changed, this is because Cubelets are now much more valuable. This means that the number of Cubelets you have will likely be lower. On top of that we've also automatically crafted them into higher tiers for you, so you don't need to worry about opening 100 Cubelets, instead only need to open 4 Uber Cubelets. When factoring in how many new Cubelets people get, we also transferred all Vanity Points. Vanity Points are not Loot Points, so did not convert at the same ratio that Loot Points do, however we feel we've been fair with the number of Cubelets that we've given everyone! If you didn't have any Cubelets from the old system, no worries either, we've also given everyone a free Regular Cubelet!
Cubelets converted from the old system will expire after 3 months.
Reward Chests
We know what you're thinking, are we still talking about Cubelets... the answer is yes... (we've said it 62 times so far!) but there is just so much to talk about :cool:
Reward Chests no longer gives you Vanity Points for your weekly reward, however there are new premium benefits:
Iron rank: 1 Cubelet every week
Lapiz rank: 1 Cubelet every week
Gold rank: 1 Super Cubelet every 2 weeks
Diamond rank: 1 Super Cubelet every 2 weeks
Emerald rank: 1 Super Cubelet every 2 weeks
Obsidian rank: 1 Uber Cubelet every 4 weeks
Each rank also gets the rewards from the rank previous to it, this means in a month an Obsidian ranked player has the potential of getting, 1 Uber Cubelet, 6 Super Cubelets and 8 Regular Cubelets. That's a lot of Cubelets, and all of them can be crafted to make even rarer Cubelets! Here is a handy dandy graphic:
Voting rewards have also been changed. Since the value of all Cubelets have gone up, rather than rewarding a full Cubelet, you now get given Loot Points. As discussed earlier, once you have enough, you can craft Loot Points into Cubelets.

Yay, Shields are here! You can now equip a Shield in the loot menu and the textures will appear on any Shield you use in a game! We've added a whopping 50 Shields, each with varying levels of rarity. There are also 3 Shields that are only obtainable with different ranks:
Iron rank: Grayscale Shield
Gold rank: Roman Shield
Obsidian rank: CubeCraft Shield

Did you think Cages could only be made of glass? Think again! We've put a lot of time and attention into our new cages! We've added so many awesome looking cages, ranging from an awesome rainbow cage, to a sky high hot air balloon!

Hats aren't always the most interesting of things to find, however we hope to change that! In this update we've added a bunch of awesome animated hats. These hats consist of multiple frames and just look truly epic!

The Wardrobe has been spiced up a bit! We not only have added more than 100 items to it, but have also added certain abilities to some sets. Once you equip a full set you'll be granted with additional different cosmetic features, from another particle trail to a speed boost allowing you to run round the lobby faster!

Gadgets are something very close to our hearts. They allow you to do silly yet awesome things in our lobbies that not everyone has access to! In this update we've gone all out and tried to create the most ridiculous things that you can think of!
Grappling Bow GadgetWe've also completely changed how the Cowboy gadget works. This fixes a lot of the issues that the Minecraft client previously had with other entities riding on them. We hope with the changes that we've made, that you can create a tower of players, higher than ever before! Before you ask, yes, this does mean that you can now have a tower that's 60 players high, assuming they all have the cowboy gadget!

Personally, Win Effects are my favourite type of Loot! There are so many different things that we have for Win Effects now. These new effects range from some blocks that literally say "Good Game" to a Tornado of Squids. :oops:

Trails are a very good way of showing off to other people how awesome you are. That's why we've tried to add the most interesting, and unique trails that we could come up with.

Creating different arrow trails was a challenge. We discovered that the more particles that we added behind an arrow, the more unusable it became as there were so many particles, you couldn't see! After realising this, we went with a different approach, firework arrow trails! Rather than the trail lasting for the entire duration of the arrows existence, firework arrow trails set of a firework where ever they land. This put's a totally new spin on how arrow trails work, and we hope you like it! We're also trialling out a new fading arrow trail type, where it starts of white, and over time it gets darker. We want your feedback on what you think of these arrow trails, so please comment below with your ideas!

The miniatures have evolved! They're now learning to move and dance! They're capable of showing off some pretty awesome moves, just look at their sweet dance moves! Some of them even look like you... :eek:

We've completely re-done our loot menu from the ground up. This menu now only shows the items that you have unlocked. You have the ability to sort the items that you have unlocked, by Date, Rarity and Name. This will hopefully make it much easier to find the item that you're looking for. Don't you just hate it when you forget the name of that really awesome item you unlocked recently! Well now you can just sort by Date and your most recent items will appear first!
Store
As you can see in game, we are planning to add the ability to buy Cubelets on our store! We're currently running lots of tests on the system, and ensuring that it's as good as we can get it before we release them as a purchasable item.

That's the point, it's supposed to be harder so you can't get stuff really quickly so you sense some form of acomplishment when you actually get rarer stuff.
