That is one of those suggestions that falls very clearly into the group of suggestions that we've been talking about... nice to have, but difficult to justify in the dev schedule.

If you want a better representative of the community then create a suggestion compilation poll and advertise it ingame so people get redirected to the forums.

The fact that pretty much nobody voted against it and the issue or suggestion coming back up does however say something. If you really are that concerned about wanting to know what more than the people on here think, let em vote in one of those books you get at the lobby when there's a new update and stuff. It doesn't even have to be all that complicated, just a link that sends them to a poll or the forums is already fine. Considering the system is already here it really isn't that hard.

I agree with the problems. We usually had several people. We can now do little to the players, I think myself when we turn everything back in the right direction. Updates are also too little. We currently have 13 moderators on our network. In my opinion, that's not enough, because some are really inactive. I've listed some possible solutions to this issue below.
Advertise the helper applications in-game.

*Bot*: We need new staff members! Are you kind, friendly, do you have experience with being staff and would you like to help this server? Apply here! (Make sure you read this thread before applying!)
This message would show up every hour.
Advertise the forums website in the chat.

We have a forums website! Join it now!
How is this going to work? Well, if players join the forums, they will notice the staff applications section and maybe they will apply for helper.
I know that we can't get good candidates for the staff position out of thin air, but I think these solutions are worth giving a try.
Note: Do not change the requirements, as they are fine, and we only want good candidates, right?
Let's talk about the bad treatment of suggestions. I know you can't implement every suggestion, but some are really good and have a lot of support by our community, but are ignored. (So, they don't get feedback from staff or from the management team.)

I know that there are many more good suggestions that could be implemented, but after looking through 30 pages of great suggestions, I found enough ideas.There are too few Java updates. That's my opinion, but I think there are more users who think like this.
Let's compare the Java updates to the Bedrock updates:
Java updates:
In the last 6 months, 12 Java updates have been released. That's 2 updates. But, if you zoom in and look at what those Java updates contain, they aren't that good.

So, that means 12-4=8 decent updates in the last 6 months. That's not a lot, is it?
- PvP Map Update+General improvements. 3 new Duels maps, 1 new FFA map and some bug fixes. Not a very big update.
- Lucky Islands now on 1.8. It's very great to play Lucky Islands on 1.8, but this is actually just an announcement of 1 game that's now playable with a certain version and some bug fixes.
- CubeCraft Plus Update+General improvements. Actually there are only 4 more things that were added in this update: You've added colours to the PLUS emotes, you've added the auto-afk feature, you've added new kill messages (which are pretty cool imo), and you've added new loot for PLUS users. A pretty small update.
- EggWars 3rd Birthday, Sale, and General improvements. I've never seen a thread about celebrating SkyWars' 3rd/4th birthday, so in my opinion this is just making up reasons to create a news thread. (No offense, this is just my opinion) Also, this thread is all about 1 new EggWars map, 1 new texture for the battle zone texture pack, and some other very small additions. Was it worth making a news thread about this?
That being said, let's switch over to the Bedrock updates, because otherwise I can't make a comparison.
Bedrock updates:
In the last 4 months, 7 pretty sucessful updates for the Bedrock platform have been released by our management team, and the playerbase of the Bedrock platform has grown a lot: There are now more Bedrock players than Java players!

It's great to see that players enjoy the Bedrock updates, but I think that we shouldn't forget about the Java platform. Of course I understand that you are trying to develop new updates for the Bedrock platform of our server, because that platform is just starting up, but as I said: Don't forget about the Java platform, because there are still 2.000+ players on that platform!
- MinerWare now on Bedrock! A very great update; we have a new game on our Bedrock platform!
- Lobby Update+New Store content! The lobby is neat, the new store content seems nice, and the loot menu looks very great.
- Halloween+Ender Update! I like those maps.. >.>
I'd like to have more players on the Java platform. How?
Well, first, we need a big SkyWars update, because the last SkyWars update was released on 20 October in 2017. That's more than a year ago.
That was a pretty big update, and I would love to have more big updates. So, here are some ideas for a next SkyWars update:
- Add new maps.
- Add new kits. Some suggestions: The bunny kit. You'll receive 2 spawn eggs with agressive killer bunnies at your spawn! (They can kill either you and your opponent, so make sure that you build a tower so they can't damage you! The voider: Gives you a knockback 2 stick at your spawn. (Breaks after 2 hits).
- Add new achievements. Suggestions: Sniper. Get 100 bow kills. Pyromaniac. Kill 100 players using lava. Nice addition: Let achievements show how many kills/wins you still need!
Then, we need other updates, like a Tower Defence update, and a Lucky Islands update.Well, that's it. I hope you like my ideas, and I hope you will do something about the problems I've mentioned.This is a very small section of this thread. In my opinion, we need more non-pvp games, like FreeBuild, SkyBlock, or Build Battle. Isn't MineCraft based on building? We are now only killing players. So add some non-pvp games, it will make other players return.
What is FreeBuild?
In FreeBuild, you can build whatever you want. There are no limits, you can use your creativity! You can also use some worldedit commands, to make building structures easier. You can publish your plots and let other players take a look at it! They can reward it with a diamond if they really like it.
What is Build Battle?
In Build Battle, players vote for a theme. You have to build the selected theme, and ultimately, you can vote if you like the plot or not. The player with the most upvotes wins!
What is SkyBlock?
In SkyBlock, you spawn on an island, you have to survive on it, and you have to enlarge it. You can change your island's theme, you can trade with other players, and so much more! For more information you can ask me or another member.
