Cant play anymore Minecraft 1.8

Proof:

Windows 10. redownloading doesnt work, 1.8 Stands in versions.
Can you guys help me? :)

But seriously, when 1.9 Released I had almost the exact same issue but Owner-Luke helped me.
Try re-downloading / re-installing the latest version of the MC launcher.

About to say delete .minecraft drag any worlds you want saved onto your desktop and then re-download minecraft.

Hmm. I'd do one of these things: Re-download Minecraft, restart your computer. Hopefully, it may help..

You could try removing all downloaded versions in .minecraft/versions, would be easier than reinstalling Minecraft but might not work

I have had it too and I know the solution:

• Go to your documents > %appdata% and remove the .minecraft folder
• Remove the shortcut of Minecraft
  
• Next, you need to re-download Minecraft (https://minecraft.net/nl/download/alternative) and and if it is good, Minecraft does it again just normal :)
