Bring back the fishing rod / Why is he deleted?

It doesn't do anything. The fishing rods do not hit players, which basically means that you can't fishing rod pvp anymore. Unless they find a way to solve it, it's no use.

Playing with the fishing rod was a strategy in 1.7 and 1.8. Since Cube has updated to 1.9 its useless :(

In 1.9 fishing rods should hook onto the player then you right click and you can pull them towards you which would make 1.9 probably a lot better.
