Now , I understand how some people like buying merch , I myslef have a cute skeleton I got from Mojang , but your merch , has the ip written on it , and it makes it feel like a walking advertisement. Why is that even there? It’d look a lot better if it were gone .

True. It probably makes people feel used.
I have not bought any merch because I am in 8th grade and if you wear something minecraft related, well... you know.
+1

But anyway, I do think they should get rid of it.
I to be honest don't even understand why they're selling merch in the first place..
And why people are actually buying it..
Ikr?
No idea why merch is a good thing. Nothing wrong with merch, but I just dont think its a good idea to sell shirts and stuff. The signed poster is cool though. Just not WEARABLE merch. Its weird...

Merch helps bring in a new stream of revenue to support and grow the server.

Where have you ever seen advertisement NOT on clothing? Every article of clothing is literally walking advertisement, does noone actually realize? I think it’s smart to have you ip right there on your chest; how would anyone realize the purpose of the shirt otherwise?

Have you ever seen a Nike hoodie with ''www.nike.com/uk/'' written on it? Have you ever seen a Gucci product with their website written on it? Exactly, no you haven't. Nobody has ever put either their website or IP on their merch. It's a stupid thing, the logo is already there (or other designs), so what's the point of adding stupid things?

The IP’s purpose is to tell you where to go, or how to find the company’s store. Alike how Nike and Gucci not only have their logo featured on their apparel, they have where to go in order to purchase their merchandise and view their other products that are available. Some companies, yes, do not do this; however, the big, name brand, incorporations (in this example, Nike and Gucci) do have their name and brand on their apparel, such as the Nike name (in addition to the swoosh) and the Gucci (in addition to their logo).

And actually, if you wan’t to use that arguement, it’s invalid. If you actually look closely at Nike’s tag it’s on their merch. I never said it had to be right there in your face ;) . I just said it has to be on their product. It’s just more useful to put it ‘right in your face’ (on the shirt) than in small print, on the tag.

Have you ever seen a Gucci product with their name* written on it? Exactly, you have.

Any other name brands you’d like to throw my way for me to use against your (already) invalid arguement?

I'm pretty damn sure you're missing the point of this entire thread.

Actually, I see it. Loud and clear.
advertisement.

Suggestion: Instead of complaining, create, and suggest a new graphic design for the T shirts. Or live with the fact that we as humans, every member who wears a shirt, with even a tag, that leads back to the designer, artist, or company selling them, are walking advertisers.

Jokes aside , having Cubecraft written on is fine. Puma and Nike do so as well , but at least they stylize it and make the clothing actually look good however , what’s not okay is having play.cubecraft.net slapped on it. It looks absolutely disgusting

''Oh! Oh but you see! The ''one love manchester'' and the ''dangerous woman tour'' are ads!''
See it how you like.. But the there isn't any ''Ariana Grande'' or ''arianagrande.com/store'' on it.. And for the One Love Manchester: It was a benefit concert, what else were they supposed to put on it? ''Rust in peace 22 beautiful angels who died at 22-5-2017''
''And how can you explain the Arimoji on the bag?''
Nobody knows what the hell Arimoji is besides Arianators.. And still, it doesn't say ''playstore.com/arimoji'' or whatever the site name is
Welp, guess you're wrong

Having a logo on a shirt is fine. You're not advertising, you're paying to wear a reputable brand. Having a literal website link on the other hand, isn't fine, especially when it's the focus of the shirt and copy/paste of what took minutes to add to the forums (where it also looks silly and out of place, because they weren't trying to put effort into it):

Notice how it's just a white border with a black background, separate from the banner itself?

Unless somebody knows what Cubecraft is already, they're going to assume that somebody is paying you to wear their shirt. In reality, you're paying them to wear it.

For the record, the reason companies put their websites etc. in tags is likely so the consumer has a way to contact them if need-be, or to find similar products. It isn't done with the intent of advertising to bystanders, hence why it's usually on the collar and thus totally out of sight.

There at least needs to be an option to remove the IP. I can imagine many more people buying shirts if they weren't paying to be a portable billboard, but to instead wear a brand.

This actually was a huge mistake even the one who suggested the ip idea didnt like it at all

If you want to put your ip on the shirt make it creative like maybe gothic style in a half circle not what looks like boring old times new roman in a box that completetly destroys the look of ther merch and website

I suppose Sophie. I can see where you’re coming from.

Tbh, I really don’t think it looks that bad. I would still buy it, if I had the money to afford it at the current moment.

Seriously though, instead of bashing on it; I really do suggest that people create different designs and make a post for it. It would be cool to see what kind of designs people make and after a while, the one with the most votes/likes wins and they make a design out of it. I think that would be a cool community competition.

If I had the money of the world.. I'd still not wear it in public..
Maybe, when I really feel stupid. I'd wear it when I'm single and when I'm at home, in bed. Where nobody can see me. While crying over Netflix shows and eating..
Maybe.. Maybe then I'd wear it..
But I'd rather just wear actually comfortable..
Like, none of these shirts would be comfortable.. Cubecraft or not..
So more reason TO NOT BUY IT...
