Behind you.
Hello all,

First of all: Yes, I am staff. This does NOT mean this suggestion will automatically get added. :)
I suggest creating a veteran member rank on the forums, which will hopefully motivate members (when given this rank) to stay active and motivate other members to be more active.

Q/A

1: How do I obtain this 'rank' ?
There will be a select few staff members who are able to set someone's forum rank to this rank. I'd say Senior Moderators and above.

2: What benefits will this rank give me?
None. It's a title.

3: Will I receive a rank ingame?
No, it's a rank for the forums.

4: How will people know I am a well known member and not a normal member?
You will be given a small tag under your name, like this:

Good job on the activity Sinterklaas, keep it up.

5: How will people with this tag not be mistaken for staff?
You will only be given a 'Well Known Member' tag under your name, not an actual [Tag] like staff members have.

6: What are the requirements for your account to be applicable to this rank?
- You must have been here on the forums for at least one year.
- If you have been here for one year or long, senior moderators and above will be able to decide if you are 'Well Known Member' worthy, depending on various circumstances.

For example: Someone that joined one year ago, but has only been started being active recently, will not be consired worthy.

7. Why are a vast amount of likes and messages, something a lot of 'active members' have, not a requirement?
These two as a requirement, will lead to more unwanted like farming and message farming.
  • Example of like farming: Asking your friends to like spam you, creating an alternative account to like spam yourself.
  • Example of message farming: Replying to bug reports every day, saying stuff like "Yeah, this bug should be fixed soon.", or "Thank you for reporting, I am sure it will be fixed soon now. :)"
Note: Asking for the rank will ban you from ever receiving it.

That's it, if any of you has any questions, ask them in this thread and I will add them to the q/a.

Credits to @Hangar555 for the suggestion.

I agree with this because this will make people more active and they will leave slower. :) +1

Maybe a tag will be cooler because Well know member isn't that special. :P

I support this. If I was a new member, I'd rather get a reply from a 'Well Known Member' than someone else. As that would be more trustable.
Being active for one year is long, in my opinion. Though, it's worth it!
