So, as you all know the 98765436283648 threads that have been posted on this topic, I thought I would share my intake. I have 3 proposed solutions to the issue.

Solution 1: Simply remove the cooldown and revert all damages from all tools back to 1.8 damage. It's as simple as that. Also slow down natural regeneration back to how fast it did in 1.8.

Solution 2: Keep the cooldown, but slow the regeneration to even slower than it was in 1.8.

Solution 3 (My Favorite): Remove the cooldown on swords by buffing the attack speed to 2 but have axes have these cooldowns:
Wood: 1.2
Stone: 1.3
Iron: 1.4
Diamond and Gold: 1.5
This way, axes have a better DPS, but only if you follow the cooldown. This would require quite a bit of strategy to use.

Honey, 1.9.1 shows good prosperity. It gets rid of the cooldown with an option to add it for plugins (I hope). :)

Why does everyone want the cooldown away? I understand that it is different, and less fun but complaining does not make sense.
Try to make the best of it, like all other players.

We all used to play with fast/spam/jitterclick. I almost 3 years being used to this fast/spam/jitterclick and than this cames. So yeah now I' m a little bit used to the 1.9 PvP. But I like the 1.8 PvP better.
