For starters I'm new at this forum thing and I don't know if this would go under here but oh well.. Anyway, I love the fact that on this server there is a filter. Its great to keep things respectful and in good nature. What I do not understand/ think there is a good reason for is the fact that you are not allowed to say "gay," but you are allowed to say "fag." This is wrong in many ways. Why should I not allowed to be able to say a sexuality but a derogatory term putting down someone's sexual preference? I have come across (with my gay friend) many people in games who put him down for being who he is by calling him a fag but cant simply correct them with gay because its blocked. My suggestion, I guess, would be to unblock the word gay because it is not a swear and instead block fag.

I don't use it and I know gay people

90% of all people who use the word 'gay' use it as a swearword. So I think it should stay blocked, just to prevent people swearing with the word.

I agree that "gay" should be allowed, but immature players would abuse it. Plus the word "penis" is banned, even though its a scientific word, but still players would abuse it.

Touchy subject :/ I do think the word "gay" should be allowed but most people do use it as an insult, sadly.

As I have come to find many people using this word as an insult or to make someone feel lesser, I agree. But it is a way to express yourself. you shouldn't have to block the word just because some people cant use it correctly. I don't think it is a swear so it shouldn't be blocked like one. thanks for your feedback btw!

But you say 'Some people cant use it correctly' I think that there are more people on the server who would use the word incorrectly than that there are people who want to tell the world that they are gay. I totally agree with you, but unblocking 'gay' takes much risk with it... Too much

Being allowed to say homosexual would be a good solution but we shouldn't have to block a word just because some people cant control themselves. Bi, asexual, and heterosexual aren't blocked and that's not that fair considering lesbian, homosexual and gay are. I just think all sexual preference words should be unblocked because it shouldn't be blocked to express who you are c:

That's true... but little kids cant handle the word gay even if they know its Homosexual they will still say Gay.... Its a to common swear word!
