Spectator mode on KitPvP and Assassins?

I don't see a lot of potential abuse in spectator mode. If they use it to look for chests, then it won't really matter since they're going to have to get out of spectator mode, spawn in a random area, and then go look for it. I honestly see this being used mainly to catch hackers.

I think people will end up teaming with someone over Skype and constantly find, then try and and kill people with good loot. Even though it does have some benefits people would probably just abuse it.

People already do that in the other games like eggwars, survival games etc and it hasn't been an issue. I agree with @6Godly

But survival games and egg wars are pretty different. Along with difference in time, getting gear is way harder in assassins and kit-pvp. People will probably get targeted,(again and again until they die), in sg games they get targeted and have the next game to look forward to.
