HOW TO APPEAL TO NEW PLAYERS

In order to attract new players and revamp CubeCraft, my suggestion is to get rid of gamemodes with fewer numbers of people, like Parkour or Egg Wars gamemodes which are underperforming, and replace them with newer, more exciting, modern PvP games like Duels, Crystal PvP, and Mace PvP. By doing this, as well as including quick PvP games 1v1 like the Bedrock version, we would surely attract that kind of player base. We can clearly see that changing the game roster works since the addition of Pillars of Fortune led to an mass increase in player activity.

Hi, removal of these game modes isn’t something that old player base want to see.
Removing EggWars can result in loss of old players who mostly played that mode.
While Parkour can be considered for removal, but in my opinion it doesn't make sense because it doesn't require a specific number of players to start and it’s great break from any pvp related modes.

Instead of removing any game mode, it’d be better to introduce new game mode, because current state of CubeCraft on Java can handle it. Also I can’t objectively answer to game mode which should be added, because I don’t really like highly pvp focussed game modes.

You can't only look at the player numbers when deciding what gamemodes should leave or stay. Even though Eggwars is underperforming compared to most other gamemodes, Eggwars still has the most dedicated player base on the Java network. This same player base brings Cubecraft a lot of money from the monthly subscription ranks that they are still willing to buy, and large amount of these players would stop paying for the ranks if Eggwars was removed. Some of them would most likely even leave the server, especially because Bedwars is still different enough that many Eggwars players wouldn't start playing that over Eggwars.

Parkour doesn't make any sense to remove either, since it doesn't even require any other players in order for games to start.

But I do agree that they should add duels back to Java, with regular sword pvp, but also axe+shield, mace, spear, crystal etc. Duels only need 2 players in order for games to start, so it wouldn't even take forever for games to start. Especially if they first only added few gamemodes so that games starts faster.
Also duels would be great if you could challenge your friends on the lobby!

Removing core gamemodes like Egg Wars or Parkour is not the right way to attract new players. Many of us still play them. If CubeCraft wants to bring in modern PvP modes like Crystal or Mace PvP, they can just add them alongside the current games without removing the classics.

Somewhere epic
I don’t think they should be removed, in fact I think if Cubecraft wants to appeal to more players, the java server needs some more non pvp games. Although I wouldn’t mind seeing a modern pvp game either.

Yes, let's get rid of everything To attract new players, I think we should remove Cubecraft because it's too outdated, and not attracts new players

bro i said to get rid of dead modes to make room for new ones, and you make it seem like I'm trying to ruin the server by getting rid of everything. If you said you disagree with this, you clearly don't understand what I said, or don't get the bigger picture.

There really isn't anything positive with this change though. Actually this would be terrible change for the server. Eggwars looks more dead because there are always less players than in most other gamemodes, but this isn't because players don't like it, but it's rather because the gamemode isn't new player friendly. Most Eggwars players are good, with large amount of them being sweats and tryhards. Just imagine joining Eggwars for the first time as a new player, and you are facing a party of 4 tryhards who speedrun every team in the first 2 minutes. Of course you would most likely move to some other gamemode. I believe that this is the reason why Eggwars has less players. It has less new players than any other gamemode.

But that is not why Eggwars should be removed. Like I already said earlier in this thread, Eggwars has the most dedicated community on all of Cubecraft Java. These are also the players who spent the most amount of money on the server. You are probably not Eggwars player, because you would know that if you joined a game during the most active hours of the day, one Eggwars lobby is usually mostly full of ranked players. Not stone ranked players, but people with both legacy and subscription rank players. When I join any other gamemode, it's always full of stone rank players, with few iron, diamond or obsidian rank players every now and then. But in Eggwars it's always the rank players who fill the lobbies during evenings and nights (EU time)

Now get rid of Eggwars, and Cubecraft would not only lose most of it's "OG" players, but they would also lose most of its paying costumers from the Java network. In my opinion, this would only be bad change. It's also safe to say that Cubecraft wont remove Eggwars anytime soon. It's also the only gamemode on Java where Cubecraft is hosting its league competitions. And this is obviously because most of the competitive players mostly play Eggwars on the server.

Also removing Parkour is just stupid, because it doesn't require any other players in order for games to start. In the matter of fact, Parkour is the only gamemode in the entire server which should stay no matter how low the servers player count gets.

NEWS: Summer event got released today (amazing shadow drop btw, since it didn't get in testing). There's also brand new maps which was not mentioned at all in the Notion post, which was a nice surprise. However, 5 weeks of summer is starting later (July 17 to most likely August 14).
Thanks @LemonyBreak459! for covering it since I woke up to the event releasing
