But this suggestion really sucks. By adding skins to cubecraft, the server would become an un-unique, mainstream server.

CubeCraft suele vender las skins en el marketplace porque es simplemente un instrumento más de monetización. Hay skins gratis en el marketplace y algunas que vienen por defecto al comprar Minecraft entre las cuales puedes elegir. Puedes equiparte algunas de estas gratis y podrás jugar en CubeCraft sin problemas.

Si bien es cierto que Bedrock presenta muchas restricciones a la hora de personalizar a tu personaje, ya que en Java te puedes simplemente descargar cualquier skin de internet, incorporarla a tu fichero de skins y podrás usarla sin ningún tipo de problema en cualquier servidor. En Bedrock este tema está mucho más monetizado y restringido, cosa que los servidores aprovechan para hacer dinero.
Aunque ya te digo, puedes tratar de usar aquellas que sean gratis, simplemente échale un vistazo al marketplace y utiliza un filtro que solo te muestre aquellas skins que sean gratis.
