Why do we need to give warnings for cyberbullying (just question)? I mean:

    1) It's obvious it should be avoided.
    2) It's dangerous and sometimes illegal.
    3) If a victim doesn't know about the warning rule, they won't be able to seek moderator action against bullies.
    4) The rule is abusable (somebody can clearly know bullying is against the rules, he will bully people until told to stop, then he will stop immediatly so he can get away with it).

Also, why doesn't advertising need warnings (and why is the mute for that longer than other "more serious" offenses)?

When a user advertises another server on Cubecraftgames, it can hinder our playercount significantly. Advertisements are always irritating to see and are seen as spam, and usually advertisers have absolutely no interest in our server at all aside from attracting our large playercount, and therefore strict punishments are given to those that advertise, since they usually don't care whether they're punished or not.

Minecraft is a game, and some users take it incredibly competitively. It is therefore understandable that some users will occasionally verbally retaliate when beaten and/or taunted, as to vent their anger. Additionally, there are numerous servers that do not disallow swearing and offensive language, and therefore it wouldn't be fair to justify a single inappropriate line of text with an immediate mute. Racism, death remarks and seriously offensive language to some extent, may still result in an instant mute and said mute may last longer than a typical mute punishment, depending on the offense.

We try our best to make our rules as clear as possible, however I would agree that some users simply don't know how to access the rules, and some rules are simply vague. If however a user feels as though they're being attacked, they are under no obligation to remain in the same lobby, and under the circumstances that a player is verbally attacked in-game, they are able to change lobbies to avoid it from continuing. I will see if an advertisement of the server's rules could be implemented as an occasional global announcement so that this hopefully can be avoided in the future.

If a user accumulates enough warnings, regardless of whether they were all given at one time or not, they are eligible to be punished since it is clear that they are intentionally breaking the rules. As previously mentioned, some chat rules may not necessarily require evidence for a punishment to be issued, depending on the offensiveness of what was said.

Another question: why 2-3 warnings? I personally think 1 is enough.
Does giving away personal information count (including future plans, like where you're going on vacation). It could theoretically get someone killed IRL.

About The Advertise without warning, it is pretty fair, knowing all server does the same.
But about the abuseable rules, yes, this need to be fixed.
And no, saying "Just ignore it" does not fix a thing
You are basically letting a bully to roam free without any punishment what so ever.
And so :v I Agree with Balloon, the rules need to be fixed a bit

A lot of servers are like this:

You don't need to give warnings prior to a report. If someone committed an offense for the first time, staff will add a warning to their account, which stays on their permanent offense record. Not a punishment, but an automatic way of telling them they are doing something they shouldn't be doing. I think we should also use this method. As stated, a lot of players don't know they need to give warnings, and therefore are unable to report. However if a warning is given anyway, it's an automatic punishment. Anyways, that's my suggestion :).

Other servers (including Chunk) may be/have been like that. From what I can tell, Cube doesn't have a system in place that can do that at this time. Though I think that would be something cool the have in the future. Mainly for keeping track of previous offenses. (Chunk staff were spoiled when it came to that xD)

I believe that there was a thread about a program someone made to do exactly this, but a staff member locked it saying something similar was already in the works I believe.

I remember seeing that thread. I didn't have an opinion on it as I doubted that the staff would use something like that, that wasn't coded by a dev that they hire.
