I know some people that have "redesigned" the sound of TNT to a counter like "1... 2... 3.. 4... GO"
Personally, I don't use that technique, it's all about feeling and luck (you need good armor and water, if not, you failed already)
You can also try to count how long it takes in a single player world, and then join Cubecraft and try it!

It indeed happens, rushers..
I suggest you to join maps like Paris or Candy. Do NOT join Beach, Rainbow, Bones or Trees if you try to TNT Jump

It wasn't the first time, I've tried in singleplayer a few times.
