Hi guys
Ever since I came back to playing Minecraft, there’s something that’s been bugging me a bit.
You join an EggWars match, right? Then you notice a bunch of players with high ranks and stone ranks (today I even saw a Mod and a Sr. Mod) in the waiting lobby.
There’s nothing unusual about that. The weird part is that they never seem to actually play.
As soon as the match is about to start or just a few seconds after it begins, these players with Diamond, Obsidian, Helper, Iron, Stone etc. ranks instantly leave.
Some of them will at least vote for OP mode and a free perk, but that’s it. They leave right after. The times they actually stay and play the full match are very rare. And when they do stay, they’re absolute master bridgers with either reduced knockback or some kind of superhuman jump-reset instinct where they can do it without even looking at you. They also almost never carry a sword. Their inventory is basically just a pickaxe, an endless supply of blocks, and gaps.
The lower ranks will stay and take up resources from your iron generator, they will then jump in the void and abandon the game too
I cannot remember the last time i had an ACTUAL full Eggwars game with people willing to play
So what’s going on? Why join the match just to take up space from other potential players who actually want to play? Is there some kind of issue with the gamemode? Or is it so inactive that these players are basically needed to fill lobbies so matches can start without the teams being too unbalanced? And if the latter is the reason, why leave? the teams will be unbalanced regardless.
And it happens ALL throughout the day too, on my free days i'll test it by playing early in the morning, or very late at night, and these guys are ALWAYS there just doing the same thing over and over, are they even real people?
Am i overthinking or going insane?
