Map Submission Question.

In the tutorial on how to submit a map, you are required to use the vanilla texture pack. But you don't specifiy which vanilla texture pack. Can we use the new vanilla textures or are only the old textures accepted?

I think you can use the new and old vanilla texture pack. As long as you only use 1.9 blocks of lower.
