Answers1. What is the deadline to make my Map Submission?
There is no deadline to make a Map Submission. Map Submissions will remain open for the forseeable future!
2. Can I build my Map Submission on Bedrock or a single player world?
Yes you can, if your map gets accepted we will only require that you send us the world file, this can be done by accessing your Bedrock files on the Windows 10, iOS, and Android editions. Please note that sharing world files on Xbox and PlayStation may be impossible or really complicated to do.
However, we recommend using Java Edition and World Edit or Axiom, as this gives you access to some very powerful building tools to take your skills to the next level.
3. Can I build my Map Submission on a Realm?
Yes, Realms allow you to download world files, making it easy to share your map with us if it gets accepted.
4. Is there a limit to the number of maps I can submit?
Not at all! We would be thrilled to receive as many maps as your creativity allows you to build. We do encourage you to focus on quality over quantity though.
5. I cannot record my building process, what do I do?
You can also gather at minimum 10 progress screenshots to prove you built the map yourself. Just try to take a screenshot every time you make meaningful progress on your build.
6. I forgot to collect evidence of my building process, what do I do?
Unfortunately, collecting evidence of your building process is mandatory. If you are unable to provide evidence, your Map Submission cannot be accepted.
7. The gamemode I want to build a map for is not listed as one of the submission options, can I still build a map for it?
If your gamemode of choice is not listed on our Map Submission Guidelines, it means that we are not currently accepting maps for it. Please do not make a Map Submission for those gamemodes as they will not be accepted. Do note that we may add support for more game modes in the future, but there is no expected time frame for that.
8. How long does it take for my map to get added to the server once it has been accepted?
We do not have an estimated time it could take for your map to get added to the server. We will try to bundle accepted Map Submissions together with game drops.
9. Can you give me some advice on my map before submitting it?
We can help you understand our Map Submission Guidelines, but we cannot give you building advice. This is to prevent any bias in the map selection process.
10. Can I build a map in a different size than what the guidelines say?
As the Map Submission Guidelines say, the size of your map absolutely cannot be larger than the size limits, but we can be slightly more flexible with maps that are smaller than what the requirements say, as long as it is not a significant amount (no more than 10 blocks of difference in width or length).
11. Why are my maps getting denied?
It is possible that some of the recommendations outline on our Map Submission Guidelines were not followed, we try our best to provide detailed and constructive feedback on not accepted Map Submissions.
We do not expect the members of our community to be professional builders, we already have those on our staff team! But we do expect the maps to meet some minimum quality standards to ensure the maps still blend in well with the rest of our maps. Take your denial as an opportunity to grow as a creator!
12. Can I use blocks from new Minecraft updates?
Yes you can. Even if CubeCraft is not currently updated to the version that includes the blocks you used, we will store your map and add it to our network once we support the new features. Please note that using very recent blocks could result in the implementation of your map being delayed.
13. Do I get rewarded if my map gets accepted?
As of right now we do not give any in-game rewards to Map Submission creators apart from credit. We also do not give you any special rank, nor will you become an official CubeCraft builder if your map gets accepted.
On a personal note as someone who has made Map Submissions myself, I must say that the satisfaction of having your own map inside of my favorite games was immense.
14. Do I receive credit for my map if it gets accepted?
Absolutely, you deserve it! A sign inside of the map will be placed giving all map creators credit for their work. Your name will be immortalized inside of CubeCraft!
15. Can I use pre-built assets or copy parts of other people's builds to make my Map Submission?
No, copying builds from external sites and other builders is not allowed and may result in punishments on your forums and minecraft accounts if you are found to be plagiarizing. We expect that everything in your map has been designed and built by you or your team.
Being inspired by other builds is okay, as long as you still create your own Map Submission independently and do not blatantly copy anything.
16. Can I collaborate with others to build my Map Submission?
Absolutely! Please make sure you give everyone who has worked on your map credit once you make your submission.
