Bedrock Idea - Custom Join Messages

You see, we have cool death messages and egg-break messages, but that's it. How about we have join messages and leave messages in game lobbies whilst you are joining/leaving that replace the regular 'Player1 joined the game' boringness, and 'Player1 left the game'. Here is the idea in more depth!


These won't be free, and will be awarded based on your VIP level.

Level 3- 'Player1's ready for action!' and 'Bye bye, Player1!'
Level 4- 'Look out! It's Player1!' and 'R.I.P, Player1.'
Level 6- 'Straight from the battlefield, it's Player1!' and 'Player1 had better things to do.'
Level 8- 'Player1 has emerged from his hobbit-hole!' and 'Player1 vanished in a cloud of dust.'
Level 10- 'I... am Player1' and 'Player1 is nowhere to be seen!'

And so on, so on.

Q- Won't people leave joining lobbies on purpose to see their leave message?
A- They could, but with the speed of CubeCraft it wouldn't really make a difference. Plus, VIP players must be quite sensible.

Q- Why do we need this?
A- We don't but it would be pretty cool.

Q- Is the 'I... am Player1' a reference to 'I... am Steve'?
A- Yes, yes it is.

Minor adjustment, The vip level stamps should be further apart. Also can a moderator direct this to the feedback and suggestions sub-forum

On one hand I absolutely love this idea. It would allow for some more unique customization, and it could easily be categorized under the rest of the message cosmetics.

On the other, there might be complications. “X joined the game.” is simple. It’s straight to the point and everyone understands a player joined the game. It may be harder to get that point across when the message isn’t as clear. Moreover, these messages are significantly longer than the regular join/leave messages, so they may clog up the chat much more.

Despite the cons, I think it would be cool to have and would work not only on Bedrock, but also Java. To make sure the messages don’t clog up chat as much, I think they should be limited to join messages only.

I agree with the suggestion, it would be so cool to have more messages for players joining your game.
Considering that you have given five examples of join messages, you can put one for each VIP level "tier" (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond). But if this suggestion was to be implemented, I believe there might be more join messages, even one for VIP level 30. Of course, players should be able to select their join messages if they want to.
