I was doing a ban lift, telling me my code was wrong.

That's the code that shows up every time when a Disallowed connection message shows up which is why it isn't working.

Your appeal code will show up when a Sentinel banned message shows up after the Disallowed connection, which in that case you'll be able to appeal.
