H Y B R I D FFA map (Elytra + Land)

So this is a super massive map, when u spawn you spawn all the way up in the air. From there you fly to huge individual islands. As soon as you land, your elytra is put into your inventory and replaced with a chestplate.

Flying away isnt easy since the islands are so big you’d need to be near the corner of the islands to escape.

Islands should be connected somehow so we can walk to them. At the bottom there’d be a portal taking u to the top of the map.

I think the map should be big enough to accomodate 120 players for the idea to work. Whenever I’m on about 6 FFA maps are on at once. Thats about 240 players.

Fortnite meets Skywars? Sounding good to me! The only thing that people (including me) probably would disagree with is the development of the map, as it’d take quite some time to build (as of the current priorities). Such an excitement filled me when I read this though, for some reason. Love to see this.

They do have a big build team so instead of constantly making island maps they could dedicate time to making something on a grand scale

But isn't your suggestion an island games map? So instead of building island maps we dedicate time to making island game maps... BUT BIGGER!?

Island games maps are just one island. These will be like Elytra FFA maps, except that each island would be way bigger.

Ahhh okay, not a fan of this idea personally as an addon for FFA. I'd rather make something like this as a beta game, then you don't have to redo existing infrastructure for a single map.
