I've been playing this server since 2017. Played all the major minigames atleast once. But the last 3-4 months have felt more like a chore to play this game.
There's a billion hackers in every gamemode. People who main FFA can relate to this the most. The game's infested with cheaters and anytime you want to have a war they just lose and call cheaters. Even when they win a cheater just gets summoned. And the staff is so like unqualified to realise that the hackers get invited by their friends. and instead of you know, looking at their logs. they just turn a blind eye and let people invite cheaters to their parties. aslong as the cheater leaves their party its no big issue.
Something else I've got to mention is just the lack of any community anymore. the discord server is literally filled with NPCs and what community spirit the forums have left is slowly dying out. Ziax Ltd. feels like a publicly traded company even though it's privately owned to my knowledge. It really feels like the past year they've been preparing for an IPO (initial public offering) because there's no way they'd sacrifice their source of revenue (aka the people who spend a lot on ranks and cosmetics and have high vip/normal levels) for just another buggy update or frankly unneeded decision like subscription ranks. And they keep doing this instead of making a logical business decision and shutting down their money burner that is the java server. Speaking of the java server. They really screwed it up. There's a reason that Java has only 1000 players meanwhile donut SMP just beat Hypixel. proving that the combat update doesn't matter anymore. But Cubecraft's archaic way of running their server has made them look really hostile towards their community driving away anyone who actually spent their time and money on this server.
I also have several personal issues with the Cubecraft staff team, Last year they banned one of my friends permanently from the server with 0 reasons given. Even though me, him & some others had been threatened with the release of our IRL information. They gave that guy a warning but for 0 reason and no chance at appealing it they gave him a permanent ban for what? being threatened with the release of their private info? It's just ridiculous. I personally fear my account and forums account will be removed anytime too. There's no way people just get away with threatening people about their livelyhood on a game for 7 year olds?
There's also the fact that every bedrock server has really slowed down their content drops. Cubecraft is still the worst offender of this. Survival Games, FFA & Duels are just some of the examples of games they released and that haven't had a feature drop since 2023. Like we can't add anything to Survival Games to save it from only having sub 100 players on a server with a 20k peak playercount? Or FFA where people have literally been complaining in the general chat of the discord how the frames are unplayable and the knockback is horrific. They can't fix any of it or even just add a new kit? Instead they spend all their devtime developing new cosmetics like the warddrobe system. We only get 1 new map which is just a reskin of another map. We used to get 3 new maps in an update for all the games. Now we barely get that for one gamemode. Like c'mon are you guys really this incompetent?
Also the staff team itself is horrid. It takes days to weeks for them to respond to your report, And then they'll most likely deny it for the most bizarre reasons. For example: Denying a bypass ban because another staff member falsely granted the player an appeal even though they were flying accross the map in a clip that never got deleted in the first place. The staff is also really bad at banning cheaters, i've literally seen cheaters fight eachother like zoom around the map like superman, but only one of em gets banned. Like hello? Why did the other one not get banned? Did he bribe you to not ban him or something? Or does staff not have the eyes to see that someone is flying? Make it make sense please. Meanwhile a friend of mine got banned for saying he's someone who's blacklisted and got his appeal denied even though said blacklisted person literally has accounts with said blacklisted name in it.
Cubecraft should genuinely rethink their entire corporate strategy, because this isn't working. There's genuinely people who wonder why Cubecraft is #2 again.
