Java Friendmessage sounds

Hi there!

I think you all know it, when you got messaged by someone you hear that sound, but you can't hear this sound by friendmessages. I think this is a good idea because sometimes its very messy with a lot of messages. So if you are possible to switch on a sound, so you can immeditaly hear that a friend messaged you.

I need your opinions! :)

I already forgot that this isn't a thing because I use a mod for this. Every time I'm on a client that doesn't have the mod I wonder why I don't hear the pling when a friend messages me (that's also the reason why I mostly don't see messages from friends when I'm on another client)

I think this is a very good idea, because you are right. Sometimes the chat is full and you want to read the important messages. I think this ''sound'' will help that.

I think this is a smart idea because there aren't any downsides and sometimes when I'm AFK a friend might have messaged me but I can't see it anymore or I won't notice.

Yes, this would be very helpful and very cool, perhaps it could go as far as becoming a cosmetic type, different sounds unlockable, cat's meow, dog bark, etc.

That's a very good idea, but perhaps cubecraft should add a option to turn it off/on.
