Hi there, here with another suggestion! The thing I like about Eggwars maps is how they all have a certain theme, which provides a lot of variety. Now, I'm only gonna talk about team Eggwars because solo is boring. Sorry not sorry.

Back when emerald generators were first added, I really liked the concept of adding ''special'' items, but, the execution was, and still is, a bit... lackluster in my honest opinion. Not only are most items just a slightly stronger version of the strongest gear from the normal gameplay, there are only 3 maps that have emerald generators, out of the 34 total maps
Did they just forget about emerald generators? They didn't even add emeralds to the newest teams map

I'm here to suggest custom, unique items for emeralds on ALL team Eggwars maps! At least 1 new item will be suggested per map. These items have attributes for OP mode. No balancing for normal will be done. I will also ignore armor sets and your basic sharpness VI sword (for the most part).

Knocking the players up is a Smash Bros reference, while the paralyzing is an original Donkey Kong reference, the game stops for around a second when you hit a barrel with a hammer.

''a cost'' being having a longer attack cooldown in both 1.8 (attack cooldown ignores mining fatigue so that's not an option) and 1.9. Furthermore, you cannot dual wield with this item in 1.9 (2 handed)

This would obviously be an actual shield in 1.9 (I'm in 1.8). You need to have this item in your HOTBAR for it to work. You can also dual wield it in 1.9 of course.

2: health set to 0.5 hearts for 1 minute (dying won't solve this)
3: Grants an extra heart for your current life (doesn't stack)
4: Grants speed II for 1:00
5: Grants a fire aspect diamond sword
6: Grants a knockback 1 stick

Furthermore, I propose all vanilla potions are buyable for 1 emerald, except: strength & invisibility, at level 1 for 1 minute duration.

Does not make your armor invisible. So the risk-reward is kinda evened out (you can still see footsteps and particles, even in vanilla)
Also, I searched high class tea brands and this popped up so this is what I went with

Xiuhtecuhtli is the Aztec mythological god of fire & time, hence the fire aspect (and speed because being faster = less time :^) )
Also this is the only map with lava you can fall into so why not add MORE fire???

Polar opposite of the Medieval Halberd. You can just change the attack speed attribute in 1.9 (I'm thinking about 2 attack speed) but I'm not sure about 1.8

Now of course, I know most games don't last long at all on this map but all maps are all maps

Now, I know most of these items will change the current metagame quite a bit, but I rarely see games with emerald gens get to the point where people have bought all the emerald items
Also, if these items are too crazy, maybe add a new experimental mode with these items?
Anyway, that's it regarding this suggestion! Let me know which items you'd like to see, and which ones should be balanced!​

Emeralds are only necessary in maps where mid is scarce for diamonds. This of course makes it so that mid is not ridiculously OP, but also encourages people to stay at mid despite the lack of diamonds.

Maps where this should apply to are: library, storm, huts and instruments. I am not in favour of having emerald generators in all team maps, even if the items you can purchase are relatively useless.

I liked Emerald generators solely because you could get relatively strong items at the cost that you’d have to camp over at mid and brave anyone who comes over. With diamonds all you ‘d do is grab a few and run home.

I’m not in favor of custom items for every map. I think emeralds should be used for buying various potions, knockback weapons etc etc. (this would also require revamp of shop system because of the misbalancing it would cause.)

As it stands they’re useless, (who thought it was a good idea to make chorus fruit and melons worth emeralds?)

Also I’m not in favor of adding items that act as a way to escape void death or return home.

So tldr -1 but I feel bad I like the effort you put in
