I think it’s time CubeCraft reconsiders the rule on double clicking. I’m not saying to bring back drag clicking — that should stay banned — but double clicking deserves another look.
I’ve been a jitter clicker for a while, but not everyone can jitter comfortably or consistently. Some players get hand strain, some cant jitter at all, others just can’t do it fast enough to keep up. Double clicking gives those players another fair, legitimate method that’s already built into their mouse’s firmware. It’s not an external mod, not tape, not macro software — it’s just how a lot of gaming mice are designed to work now.
The thing is, double clicking doesn’t break the game when kept under a CPS cap of 15 (as it is). It just levels the playing field and opens the door for more competitive PvP again.
Since CubeCraft banned both double and drag clicking, a lot of players have left or lost interest because their natural playstyle got restricted. And because other servers followed CubeCraft’s lead, PvP as a whole feels less varied and less skill-based. Allowing controlled double clicking again could actually bring players back and make CubeCraft’s PvP scene feel alive and more competitive again.
It also gives CubeCraft a chance to stand out — instead of following the same blanket rule everyone else uses, Cubecraft could show it’s willing to balance fairness and competitiveness.
From a moderation view, it’s still simple:
• Keep drag clicking and macros banned.
• Keep CPS limits strict (under 15).
• Detect patterns of abuse, abnormal amount of cps, not single clicks.
(and take a standpoint of if cps goes from 0-16 in one click for example)
That way, everyone wins. The server stays fair, more players return, cubecraft stands out from the other servers, and PvP gets more active and skill-driven again.
What do you guys think? If done right, I really think this could help CubeCraft’s community grow and make PvP more fun for everyone again.
