CubeCraft lost players: this is why!

Hello Staff and players of CubeCraft Games!

Maybe this topic is not really for the suggestion page but I don't know where to put it.
Before you start reading I want to say again this is not to hate on CubeCraft, I like the staff and the community.

As you have read the title CubeCraft lost players.
First on peak points there were 20.000 people online! Now only 10.000 people and on normal times like 4 or 5 thousand people.

Why?! Yes that's a good question and I will give you the answer.
- CubeCraft updated to 1.9 this is the main reason of losing players. At this point CubeCraft lost about 7.500 players.

- CubeCraft sticks to there "classic" games like SkyWars and Freebuild.

How to get players back?
- Bring back 1.8 to the server. With this I mean to add more 1.8 games.
- Release an major update! And with this I mean remove some 'dead' games and add new ones.

- I know an major update is not easy but CubeCraft needs it.

From my point of view, the 1.8 is too outdated. People prefer to have updated versions and new things that Minecraft is taking over time.
When they take out the Aquatic Update, will you also tell us to go back to 1.8?

I don't see it as a bad idea, the only thing that can bother (from my point of view) is that the few people who play that "dead game" that they will eliminate, will stop playing because their favorite modality will no longer be there.

I don't care if the 1.8 follow on the server or not, since I do not play in 1.8. It's too outdated from my point of view.
We all know that in the "PvP" modality we have an NPC in the "Duels" section to be able to choose the PvP of version 1.8.
Well, this idea is simple. In all/almost all modalities that people would like to play with the PvP of 1.8, put that same NPC that is in "Duels".
I never said anything about removing all the PvP 1.8 from the server, on the contrary; I said to put in the modalities the option of being able to choose the PvP.

CubeCraft can't just throw away dead games and suddenly make new ones.

CubeCraft decided to update into 1.9, 1.10, etc. They couldn't stay in 1.8 forever. If players do not like 1.9+, that is their problem. Not ours.

CubeCraft does NOT stick to "classic" games like Free Build and SkyWars. Think about the UNIQUE games CubeCraft has. Lucky islands, Tower Defense, Block Wars which is a twist to Turf Wars, etc.

Delete 1.8? No, no no, no.

As once Tacos said, even tho he doesn't like 1.8, that doesn't mean he will just erase all 1.8 PvP from the network. There are people that don't like 1.9. We can't ignore them as if they weren't part of the community. Everyone's voice should be heard. I love both PvP styles, but I like 1.9 much more. Yet, I still ask for more 1.8 games because it's just fun. It's not their problem that they don't like 1.9, you're basically saying we should treat all 1.8 players like as if they were garbage that have no voice to be heard, and no opinions? That's just low.
My idea? Give 1.8 players more games to play. Someone, from the survival games leader boards, also asked to have survival games in 1.8. Would be really nice.

There are people that don't like 1.9.

Delete version 1.8 of the server, but in some ways that people like to play with PvP 1.8, that they can choose the PvP. An NPC, like that of the "PvP" modality. We all know there is an NPC (I'm not sure if it's available in the 2 modes, but I know that in "Duels" it is.)

How does updating from 1.9 - 1.12 remove even more players? I'm pretty sure most 1.8 lovers already left when they updated to 1.9 and some came back after the re-release of some 1.8 games.

Besides your idea of removing "dead" games and bringing out new ones is very vague and quite difficult. Which games can be seen as dead games (aside from UHC) and which games should be added? It's not like Cubecraft can snap their fingers and add Build Battle or something.

No they didn't. Cubecraft is still in 1.9.0 and that's one of the reasons it's dying. Because they stopped updating.

Currently, about 80% of the players on cubecraft play on 1.9 and not on 1.8 (This is a fact, I calculated it), so removing 1.9 will only make everything worse.

That's a lot easier said than done.

The main reason why cubecraft is dying is because they keep releasing updates nobody asked for (chat update, bingo) and gamemodes which die out within a month of their release (blockband, all the island games, UHC) while ignoring what the community actually wants (see @Thefty 's SG suggestion for a classic example). Sure, not all the updates are that bad (Skywars update did improve it a lot) but those are very few compared to the other updates.

Like Marieke said on another thread, the majority of the players play on 1.9+, so this is not entirely true.

CubeCraft is still 1.9, so I don't know what you're talking about.

1. Don't bring back 1.8, hypixel is the biggest 1.8 server sand cubecraft 1.9 if you wanna play 1.8 go to cube 1.8 or other server.
2. freebuild is a new game and i doesn't really need to be removed
2. skywars is the biggest game on cube if they removed sky they will lose 1000 of players

Lucky Island is fun and unique, tower defence is nice too i just like that cube is original

Parkour was on the server already; It's completely dead because of the maintenance that is lasting for months now.
