Hi, new to the forums- Let's be honest no anti-cheat is ever going to detect more than 60% of hackers, that's why i've come up with some ideas that will make this more efficient and effective. Idea 1: >If player think someone is hacking, they can do /report [HackerName] >If 30% of players ingame vote on the hacker, a staff member is called to observe (incognito). >Players only get a certain number of votes per game. >There are consequences for misusing the system. >As well as players being rewarded for successful reports. >>OR- If a player reaches a certain number of votes in a certain time period, an incognito member of staff will supervise the players next game, where they will decide if the player is hacking. Idea 2: >Players can do- /req [Issue] >Alerts "Answerer"'s (which will be the lowest form of staff) (only allowed to answer help requests) >Players only get a certain number of questions per month. >There are consequences for misusing the system. >If player leaves before their question is answered, the response is shown next time they log in. Idea 3: Make staff more productive by implementing a reward system for resolving issues. >Receive points for punishing naughty players. >Receive points for responding to help requests Points can be exchanged for money? Other player commands: /bully - report a bully /ignore - mute messages from a player
Yeah..... no. Mods can't join in-game. Next, mods would be spammed with observation requests. Third, the anti-cheat hasn't even been perfected yet so how would you know? Next, this has been suggested and all have been denied. @Orangeric88
I like the idea of using /report. Some people don't have a recording software or is unable to install one due to low hard drive space. Rewarding staff could be used as some sort of motivation! Though some of these ideas can be polished up a bit, I think they're decent enough as a re-enforcement.
This would be good, but CubeCraft has way more hackers than moderators. Plus, like xx_360noscope101 said, moderators can't join in-game.
/report was so heavily abused that staff couldn't even go 1 second without an alert. Plus, if it the punishment was a mute, CCG would only have muted people.
Well, since I'm quite new to the server, does /report not have a CD? I guess all systems are flawed in ways.
The only way I can see /report not being abused is if it was strictly for targeted chat offenses which can be proven with a chat log otherwise /report would be severely misused
Unfortunately this have been suggested before and I like the idea, but Mods can NOT join a game and they would only get spammed. We appreciate the suggestion, but unfortunately it will be a -1 from me :/
I think Idea 1 would be a good suggestion if they allowed mods to join current games. But yes there should be a reward/non reward system. Great suggestion and welcome to forums!
Such a system was implemented before and was removed because moderators were spammed. Also, a new anti cheat is coming and we do hope it's good. For now, record and report, the ban system is improved now as 1st Ban: 30 days 2nd Ban: Permanent Ban
Hello. So, I see you're new to cubecraft. (I am too). There was a system back in the days where you can do that. But, players spammed it repetitively. Also, hacker votes would lead to extreme targeting. So, that'd make MORE problems to the report system. For now, we shall wait for the anti cheat to completely cone out. So, for now, we shall just report hackers the good ol days .
