Y'know the magic eggwars map? It's the worst . I decided I'd make a rehaul suggestion.

First off , thise asteroid field , make their diameter so large that they intersect with those of the other islands and mid , just like the Audi symbol and the Olympics symbol.

My next siggestion is the statue , which houses a level 3 diamond generator and is extremely annoying to scale if somebody is camping atop it . I would like you to do something about it.

My next suggestion is to make mid consist of two rings and one large saucer , with perhaps a magic tower which would have a high level diamond generator and to inslude a few diamond generators.

Next , fix the placement of eggs , make them harder to reach and remove the pyramid and tower at the home base. The islands look as plain as a bagel.

At this point one must question , is an overhaul worth it or is it best to delete magic altogether? The games last 5 miniutes for a 4 team map , and usually its quite impossible to catch enemies off guard . It has terrible gameplay.

First off, I'd be quite upset if they removed magic, its one of the oldest eggwars maps (the first one I ever played even) and to me it feels just like trees feels, its nostalgic and I'd hate it seeing removed.

However, Im always okay with a little update :) , and your suggestions actually sound quite cool!
Connecting the astroid rings would probably fix the problem magic has, which is that everybody always builds over to the nearest island. The astroids will probably split up that group to people who will attack from underneath and people who will build over (just like City does). Which can break up things a little. I do not think if you wanted the astroids from mid to connect up with the other 4 islands as well, if so, sounds cool too :).

To compensate, you suggest breaking up mid to where the magician stands on 2 islands, not just one. Which sounds dank also, id't mean that if the final 2 teams are the teams on the diagonal opposing side would have to meet in mid, instead of just running 'round it, dodging all enemies you encounter and run straight to the egg. Splitting mid sounds fair to me.

Im okay with the egglocations as they are, however I can see how moving them would again, fix the ol' op rushing strat in magic.
The towers can stay, same with the piramid, dont see any problems with that. A place to move the egg to could be inside the tower if it got thickened a bit, maybe gold and diamond gen on ground floor and the egg on the first floor (same distribution as in mushroom, and in there it works great :D, could even be more mushroomified if a secundary tower would be added, egg and iron generator in the first and diamond and gold generator in the second with a bridge in between).

Dont care about the level 3 generator, I rarely see people use diamonds on magic, I only do to make a compass to find out on what ring the final player is hiding. Almost no one takes the effort of building up and the ones that do often fall off when they try to get down again (very effective method by the way, almost takes no time to get down).

Splitting mid is a pretty excellent idea, making it mide like tepee. Further more , what if twi islands on each side were close and were apart from the other two , which were close on their side?

Red close to green close to mid 1

Yellow close to blue close to mid 2

wouldn't really change much gameplay-wise, itll only speed things up which, as you said in the main post, is something we want to prevent. I mean, the games always start out with Red and Green fighting and Yellow and Cyan fighting. Shortening the distance between the islands that 99% of the time will kill each other before attacking other islands will only make defending harder, which is not really healthy considering that defending the initial attack on magic is quite hard, you'll lose your egg for sure if there are at least 2 people attacking and you'll lose your entire team if all 4 decide to engage.

Removing it is only secondary , dont worry. I prefer unique maps over these maps.

Maybe the map could be a quick placed one? With direct bridges to mid? Just a question feel free to roast me on this m8s

First of all, I think the islands are closer to mid

The 2nd idea I do not like it would make it fun to do a lower level level 2

The third idea I think does not make me such a nice idea I would like to do if they make islands just gold generator

The 4th idea is also a good idea eg the egg in the tower where the gold and slide generator is It is definitely worth updating. The folder is definitely good
